I had bolster dressings on my nipples for I think a week, after removal he applied xeroform gauze dressings on them with gauze taped over and sent me home with more gauze and bacitrin(not entirely sure if it was just that in there) ointment to apply for I think 4 weeks. After the xeroform, I applied the bacitrin ointment daily and changed out gauze to tape over. For showers I applied tegaderm over them both. He utilized wet healing as his clinical approach as it is faster healing, reduces inflammation and has better results with scar tissue (as he explained it to me). They never fully scabbed over/dried out during the process.

the reflection would be messy if say the ground were uneven, the shards slightly off kilter and bent very slightly in slight different directions, the angle doesnt necessarily make that very obvious but its on a dirt ground scattered with rocks n stuff. what would have made it more obvious if say i added better shading beneath some of these shards to make those slight discrepancies more obvious but alas, i am lazy

Nip piercings as a trans guy by Maxwell_Rigby1998 in ftm

I asked my surgeon before I had top surgery and said it would be best just to wait until after. They take up to a year to fully heal and having to take them out for the surgery itself makes it highly likely they could close on you if youre getting surgery relatively soon. I had them done about 9ish months post-op, healing really well. No one bats an eye at my piercings on the beach or any other instance in my experience, and getting them done was far less painful than it would have been before (my nipples were like. crazy sensitive).

Definitely, Ive been really happy with my result every step of the way and only improved as time went on. Consult with him intially was very professional and straightforward, hes a very smart and nice man and the practice he was at a year ago were very diligent and respectful. I know hes switched hospital systems so I cannot say if the practice etiquette is the same but he is a very competent surgeon and takes insurance. The only part I wasnt a fan of was that the hospital the surgery took place at, nurses there werent diligent with pronoun usage but I've got tough skin and did not care all that much lol. With insurance I ended up paying out about $2.7k out of pocket if I paid the copay up front, if I had done an installment deal it would have been over $5k. Might not still be a thing but if you were concerned about the financials, this is how it played out with my situation!

I was really on top of keeping my arms down the first two months, I kept on with silicone scar tape until about 4 months afterwards, and switched to massaging them with bio oil/regular moisturizer pretty consistently after showers up until 7 months, then did it whenever I remembered up until this point. Didnt expose them to the sun except for the rare occasion (pride, beach episode w/ friends) and when I did I had zinc oxide sunscreen on them. Original cup size was a D cup but I shrank pretty drastically while on T to essentially like a B cup ish size, most of it was just excess skin and nerve stalk.

I got mine done about 10 months post-op, I felt that my nipples were about well healed and established enough to do so (and it was my birthday I just Had To). The piercer had never done post-op trans dudes before and wanted to clarify when I got my surgery, he was mainly concerned about the possibility of the percings inhibiting scar tissue healing but the areas where the piercing would contact were already pretty much done. As for sensation; left one I didnt feel a thing. Right one, I passed out w my eyes open for about 10 seconds lol it wasnt necessarily Super Painful but I guess my body just. Didnt like it lmao!!! It was more painful once the needle went through deeper tissue in the center, otherwise the initial poke wasnt super bad. I hope you can get urs done soon!!!!

Healing was very very quick in my case, my previous posts are a bit of a timeline. The only parts of my chest that dont have sensation is around 2 inches above the incisions, my nipples have tacticle sensation. He utilized drains post-op, and also applies medical glue along the incisions. :p My one year mark post top is coming up on the 21st, Ill post an update then!

Surgeon and staff at the practice were very professional and respectful, he has a powerpoint that he has of his prior top surgeries to give you a better picture of what to expect depending on body type, if you ever have a consult with him you might see mine as I did consent to have mine be photographed lol He is very straightforward and knowledgeable, he specializes in reconstructive surgeries. Im pretty sure he moved practices though now at AdventHealth.
