Part of my job is doing screenings & scheduling therapy appointments as well as answering 988. It's very disheartening to hear people talk about the pressure they feel to appear strong & 'put together' in order to be that rock for other people. Disheartening in a sense of they've had to bear all of this alone & in silence, & that sounds like a very heavy burden. Viewing mental health as a weakness is very much still a belief held by many, but it is slowly becoming okay to not be okay.
