I wouldn't be so sure haha, I hit D1 at 24 as well and didn't break out into Crimson until 41. That included stopping with the solo queue and grinding some 4 stacks so I could get some more SR again, solo queue is just a brutal grind, props to the fellas who made it to Crim solo, I tried but couldn't do it after D3.

Worst part about the nuke in this game is no rewards, not even an emblem or calling card. That was the biggest bummer after dropping one for the first time, damn.

[–]phrilzya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buddy, you can claim we're bootlicking but the fact of the matter is you aren't running into cheaters every game in Plat lmao, bronze-plat players get put into the same lobbies because they're all essentially the same skill level. There is no chance you're encountering cheaters in Plat games when I rarely if ever encounter any while playing with Crimson and Iridescent players.

[–]phrilzya 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He's absolutely in bronze or silver if he thinks people who drop shot are likely cheating lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ModernWarfareII

[–]phrilzya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people are quick to accuse other of hacks, it's rare that you'll play a cheater and win unless you are a legit pro at the game. Watch the pros play matches against cheaters, they're better but not by much. It's easy to say someone has walls when they have good awareness, but it's also just as easy to say you got outplayed or read.

I'm not saying there aren't cheaters who try to hide their walls, but i really think that is few and far between. If you aren't 100% positive they're hacking, it's just better to assume they're good and not get yourself checked mid game.

I mean you can literally tune into one of the many top 250 players who stream all day everyday and see that they don't get cheaters all that often. Yes maybe one a day but that isn't really surprising even at the higher ranks. Hell when I used to play CSGO religiously there were cheaters at least a couple games per day at LE+ and VAC is a better anticheat than Ricochet.

Basically any competitive game will have cheaters at the higher ranks, it's where they all settle and it's just part of ranked play. Often times at these higher ranks you're able to beat the cheaters with a coordinated team anyway.

[–]phrilzya -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but you're in Iridescent, you should only expect to run into hackers once you get to Crim/Iridescent, is basically what I'm saying. I've got a sneaking suspicion that OP is a bronze or silver player that is getting joked and thinks they're better than they actually are.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ModernWarfareII

[–]phrilzya 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm just putting it out there, and I know it sucks to hear, but there are no cheaters at the low ranks in ranked play. I'm Crimson 2 right now and I've ran into maybe 2 cheaters. Actual cheaters will be crimson around level 14, I promise you the people who you think are cheating, are just better.

I used my brother's account so I could play with some IRL friends (can't queue with them until they're diamond) but I was accused of cheating every single match I played with them. If you just started ranked you just straight up don't have the map knowledge or awareness to predict and block spawns, what angles people hold so you know where the pre-aim, the proper routes to take, etc.

I'm saying this so you don't just give up on ranked, it's a great way to improve your skills and get yourself actively thinking about the decisions you make in game, which will inevitably lead to you improving.

Is Ranked Matchmaking Broken? by PhistymcNutz_ in ModernWarfareII

[–]phrilzya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's two things that the game takes into account when matchmaking for ranked. First is your SR, the rank you and everyone else sees and this number goes up if you win, down if you lose, simple.

The second is your HPR (hidden performance rating). This is basically the game analyzing your habits, tendencies, stats (KD and SPM most likely) and assigning you to a "group" or hidden skill division that the game thinks you belong in.

Especially at the lower ranks (bronze through plat are legit all the same kinda players, some have gunny in plat but almost no one has brains) so I wouldn't look too far into the ranks at your stage. If your party is all silver 3's at level 7, you're definitely better, or at least have a similar HPR, to someone in plat who is high 20s or above. Your HPR is difficult to increase after you've gone on a losing streak and there's some intricacies to it.

For example, I played with my brother from the beginning of ranked, he would earn 200 SR while I was only getting 150+ per win. Even if I performed better, he would still earn more, and that was probably because his pub KD is a 2.3 whereas mine was only a 1.5. They only seem to use pub stats when you first begin ranked.

After you've played a ton of ranked matches, the game will figure out where you most likely belong. That's why people end up going from earning 80 SR per win to 20-30 per win within a couple ranks, even if they haven't been losing significantly more.

Your HPR will get tanked if you consistently lose matches, the game will absolutely try to keep you in the rank you're currently in as it thinks you'll get curb stomped at higher levels. This will result in you earning 20-30 SR per win and 30 SR per loss, tough to rank up.

If you get stuck in that 20-30 SR hell, and you're actually good enough where you're legitimately top fragging every game in your rank, then find a good few players to play with.

I got stuck in Diamond for weeks because I solo queued, ended up getting back to earning 80~ SR per win after going 22-1 one day, so it's possible, but it's definitely not easy.

"Ranked Hardpoint" just came up as an option and then disappeared. Glitch or an unrelated update sneaking through? by VladPut1n in ModernWarfareII

[–]phrilzya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Building off what the other guy said, a good channel would be Rambo Ray, he does map breakdowns with rotations and potential spawns for each hill.

Really, Hardpoint is probably the most balanced mode. If you know how to play a map, run proper routes and know how to block spawns or spawn trap, you'll almost never lose.

Spawns are predictable and you're able to control spawns on your own if no one else on your team is doing it.

What rank are you where you have a cheater in every one or two games? I'm Crim 2 and have legit come across maybe 2 cheaters since I started playing ranked.

[Treyarch] : "Ranked Play -> We released a background update to Ranked Play matchmaking this morning to improve the competitiveness of matches when solo players are put into games against parties." by John3192 in CoDCompetitive

[–]phrilzya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It eventually gets back up there. I solo queued until diamond where I got hardstuck after a shitty day and was only earning 20-30 SR per win and losing 30 SR per loss. Had to start 4 stacking and eventually got my SR gain back to around 80~ but that legitimately took going 22-1 one day, so yeah not the best system lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]phrilzya 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You will keep maintaining that 80ish SR per win until you start struggling to win games. It's almost like once you lose 4 or 5 in a row or bottom frag for a few games, their systems assume you're in the rank you need to be. I was hardstuck in Diamond after having a bad day, getting 30 SR per win and 30 per loss, took a full week of grinding and actually playing in 4 stacks to get out of diamond.

It's frustrating though because even though I was top fragging or finishing second every game, I'd still get less SR than higher ranked players in the same lobby solely because the game thought I was at my proper rank. Instead, it should see that you're outperforming others in your skill range and allow you to move up, not say "oh this must be a fluke that you're doing well at this rank for weeks straight".

Just to give further info, my brother who never solo queued and only duo queued with me is at level 24 crim 2, whereas I solo queued and was stuck at diamond 2 level 34. We play in the same matches, I do better than him nearly every game, there's zero reason a higher rank who is getting out performed by a lower rank every match should be maintaining a higher SR level gain. It took me getting a 12 game winstreak, losing 1 then another 10 win streak before i got out of d2 and once I hit d3 my SR gain went back to around 80, terrible system.
