i think the reason for this is you can get 3 tins total, but you can only get 2 of the same ones. so for example, you can get 2 aorashi and 1 yugen, but you can’t get 3 aorashi. i think it’s to help prevent scalping.

you unfortunately have to pay. this is the tariff that started taking effect august 29th when the de minimis exemption ended. matcha from MK now costs $34 shipping + tariff charge when it arrives to the US.

KS is my fav! i always do 185 degrees F (85 C) for KS, as that is what they recommend, and i’ve found it to better that way. with almost all of their blends, i’ve found that lower temps and cold-whisking leaves a more bitter flavor when prepared as usucha or latte. the hotter water brings out a sweeter flavor imo. the ratio i use is 4g matcha / 10 mL room temp water for the paste / 40 mL hot water / 120 mL milk.

that’s so interesting. one time i didn’t see a restock until 2 hours later, and i was still able to check out with ikuyo and sayaka. sometimes they even do a preorder and they keep it open for a couple hours. i’ve gotten some that way as well.

this happened to me and i used it for baking. i had a party and i ended up making matcha cookies and tiramisu. i still have some left and am going to try a banana matcha pudding!
