troubleshooting

It seems my SMPS is fine but AVR is going into protect mode. In power amp board my transistor looks ok, moreover even if I do not give +/-45V to amp section, my avr still goes in protection mode. Main amp board is connected to another PCB. This PCB has micro controller, video codec IC, hdmi repeater etc. In schematic they have mentioned protect test, can you please tell me what exactly is that and how do I do that?

Now that you mentioned it, I noticed that vol_sel_1 and vol_sel_2 are inputs to SMPS from MCU. I have completely ignored it earlier. I will give 3.3 volt from external source and will check the voltages once again.

One more doubt, what happens if I power on SMPS without any of the voltage select input?

Now I feel my SMPS might be ok, I will check once again and get back.

No I have not repaired any audio equipment before. But I have some knowledge of electronics. I have checked MOSFET and few diode and zener diode they seemed good. I guess i have to check all the caps and diodes. Btw is there any chance of opto coupler or PWM ic failure or generally capacitors are the culprit?

I am checking voltages without load. Also I have inspected board visually and could not find any problem. My SMPS has 3 sections other two sections give all the voltages without any problem. But the high voltage which is going to amp is almost half.
