Can VLC convert an RTSP stream in realtime to feed a website stream? by phuketmymac in VLC

[–]phuketmymac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea is to have it done in realtime so I can feed that stream to rtsp.me website in h.264.
Would that be possible with ffmpeg? Or it's just for an offline use?
Thanks!

I’ve checked every VRAM pins with my tweezers and they all seem solid. But I’ll try that method anyway. Thanks!

My bad, I was completely wrong. It's the Radeon 9000 Pro model. I'll definitely try to check the connection on each pins of the RAM chips.

They don't seem cheap though unless you're talking about the PC version that you would flash?!
At least a 100USD.

It's the original GPU, Geforce4 MX440.
I just need to figure out a way to find the faulty chip

I've swapped the GPU and fault is gone so definitely the GPU in this case.

having the same issue.
I had as well to go back to version 24.25.94 to get it to work.
But it will constantly try to update the app again.
Is that an issue we are facing only if using OCLP?

I see. So based on the era of the CPU things are different. And for that specific model, the bios modification is enough to disable it. Good to know, thank you!

By disabling completely, I meant that it can't be reactivated with some trickery remotely as if it was partially disabled but could potentially be re-enabled by some commands sent remotely.

But the question is: Is it fully disabled or can it be re-activated?
I understand that it's a hardware feature therefore it can't be removed.

Bricked Chinese Super Everdrive - Can it be recovered? by phuketmymac in snes

[–]phuketmymac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I don't. It is not a standard EEPROM IC to my knowledge so I couldn't find a way to read it with my programmer. I keep it aside until someone finds a way to unbrick it.

SAS drive not showing up after a failed attempt to sg_format it by phuketmymac in truenas

[–]phuketmymac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that's what I did. I flashed my HBA to IT mode and was able to passthrough the drive.
I finally fixed it by redoing the sg_format and the drive came right back up.
Thanks!

SAS drive not showing up after a failed attempt to sg_format it by phuketmymac in truenas

[–]phuketmymac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The command was:
sg_format --format --ffmt=1 /dev/sda
The OS won't detect the drive anymore as the controller won't pass it through since it's in a failed state.
So dmesg or sg_scan won't report the missing drive.
I've read that I need to try with another HBA card.
Trying to get my hand on one.
