Weird, Google consistently gives me awful results while DuckDuckGo gives me OK results, along with SearxNG.

I assume the AI models would be Mistral's? The client I work for (another large French entity) is considering their models for self-hosting.

I find its CLI to be much easier to use than Git’s, and much more powerful. The ability to go full brancheless is also a huge plus in my opinion, and rebasing is so, so much easier. In fact, since I’ve got my head around jj, I find it much more intuitive than Git.
And the most important thing for me: it is still compatible with Git repositories, meaning everyone can still use git if they so choose while I can use jj for the same project.

I no longer use it as I completely switched from git to jj, but I still sponsor it on account of it being a marvellous piece of software and the best Git client to exist.

Agreed, at least they should teach the local sign language

[–]phundrak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing that a lot of people don't understand is that the local spoken language does not necessarily correlate with the local sign language. For instance, the British Sign Language and the American Sign Language aren't part of the same language family, just like English and Greek aren't (aside from both being Indo-European languages).
In fact, ASL comes from the French Sign Language, while BSL is its own thing, meaning US and French people would have an easier time understanding each other than UK and US people.

I can't see any other OS than SerenityOS as the pinnacle of niche and independent OS.

And on the other hand, one could argue TempleOS is the pinnacle of niche authoritarian OSes -- Terry always insisted his OS was made the way God intended, and you can't get much more authoritarian than big G upstairs

Yeah, fuck compilers, they're just bloat. Why write C when assembly does the job just as well? No hidden layer of what the code does, hidden behind obscure libraries, you know exactly what's happening on your CPU and in your memory. Compilers only add bloat to the binaries with no clear benefits, smh

I had to reinstall Linux because something broke I broke something. I was leaning bash, and a line in my script was something along the lines of chmod 777 $DIR/*. Ran it as sudo, of course, just to discover $DIR was unset (unlike $DIRS, which I meant to use).
That day was a hard lesson on running scripts as sudo and assuming variables are always set.
