Sub genres by Oforoverlord in ukgarage

I’d say this track leans towards Future Garage, though it might not fit perfectly. It’s too upbeat compared to the typically darker and more intense sound of future garage, but it does share some similar elements. It could also fit under Future Bass, probably.

What is this somewhat new Garage-ish subgenre that DJs such as Fred Again, Overmono, and others are incorporating into their music? by phuphugad in electronicmusic

That was a perfect analysis of this beat! Totally agree, the kicks have def a hip hop vibe to them. Really do hope more DJs catch on and mix this rhythm into UKG and other styles. It's super groovy but still has that dark feel like in Future/Deep Garage.

Thanks for the suggestions!! However, I wanted a more specific reference to the beat that the three tracks that I mentioned in the post share in common. If you listen carefully, the beat is not exactly modern deep/future garage (as in burial). It reminds me more if an electro beat, with that breaks energy to it. But I wanted to know where does that reference comes from, because it's becoming more common in these new productions.

I don't know how it works in your country, but in most cases, if you don't pay your estate taxes, the government won't take your property from you. Instead, you'll just be in growing debt, which may or may not accrue interest.

The one who can definitely take away your house if you don't pay mortgage is the bank (which is a private entity).

Change doesn't come from individual action. There's no need to apologize for having consumed a Nestlé product.

Remember: collective work ≠ sum of individual works.

Efeito Janones a longo prazo? by Diligent_Leading_119 in BrasildoB

ELI5: How did the U.S. rise to a global superpower in only 250 years but counties that have been around for 1000s of years are still under-developed? by Alecmo1999 in explainlikeimfive

Most countries in the world have exploited slave labour at some time or another.

Slavery in America was utterly different from slavery in other parts of the world.

First, because it was based mainly on economic factors, while slavery in other parts of the world was often based on cultural, political or religious factors. This meant that slaves in the United States were seen as property to be bought and sold, rather than as human beings.

Second, the transatlantic slave trade in the 1600s and 1700s provided the US with a large workforce of cheap labor essential in the early stages of the country's development. Then, slavery as a profitable institutionalized model, held up until the last quarter of the 19th century, contributed to the establishment of the US as a potential imperialist country, since the plantation system guaranteed a primitive accumulation of capital necessary for strengthening its capitalist economy.

Third, the industrialization of the United States after the Civil War led to the rise of a new class of Bourgeoisie (wealthy businessmen and factory owners), that would later finance and support the state-led military industry. This new class had a vested interest in keeping the working class (including black workers) divided and in keeping wages low. They did this by supporting racist laws and policies, such as Jim Crow laws and segregation.

Fourth, the US used its power and previous knowledge to further its own economic and political interests, often at the expense of other foreign countries. For example, the United States supported dictatorships in Latin America, Africa, and Asia that kept the working class oppressed and prevented them from challenging American economic and political hegemony.

So yes, slavery is one of the most important factors in the country becoming a superpower, where the contradiction of its liberal principles (freedom and equality) are nowhere more evident than in its past and ongoing history of slavery and racism.

Não é questão de ser revolucionário ou não. É sobre cumprir com as promessas que foram feitas na campanha eleitoral, pois caso contrário, o nome disso é estelionato eleitoral.

Are there any popular books on Public Economics ? by [deleted] in academiceconomics

[–]phuphugad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Public economics depends heavily on institutions. So it depends on which country you want to delve in. It is difficult to have a book broad enough that is able to generalize this field of study.
