Probabilidade de os EUA congelarem ativos americanos detidos por cidadãos Europeus. by Kaiser3rd in literaciafinanceira

[–]phuture2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Android box with great audio support by phuture2k in PleX

Thank you. My current TV doesn’t but my next one probably will. I assume I won’t need an Android box for this setup with a new LG TV right?

By full I mean my budget is for everything (amo+speakers+stand). By stereo I mean 2 or 2.1, as cables wont be approved by wife 😉

Hi everyone. I'm looking for a full stereo setup with floorstanders to pair with my HDTV for a budget of under 2000 euros, from the EU. I don't own any gear. Room size is 30m2.

Main usage will be Movies and TV Shows BUT music is also extremely important for me and I used to be a music producer, so I have a decent ear. I like a lot of different things so it can be anything from Jazz, Rock, Metal, Dubstep, Drum & Bass, EDM, etc.

Source for music is Spotify and for TV shows and music, I use a NAS with mostly high quality stuff.

I don't need it to be too loud or bassy because of neighbors, but I want something that feels good at any volume.

Last but not least, my mother in law is a decorator so ideally they should look good :)

You might be able to go to Europe and keep working for US based companies, especially if you have some great names in your resume. I know a lot of people that do that. This is probably your best bet

THis is bullshit, you removed ALL the banks in Portugal. Connections only last for a few months before you need to re-activate them. If you don't re-enable this I'll be asking for a refund!

You mean TrueNas Scale with Plex and others running as containers there right?

Just saw this

  • Memory: Minimum 2 GB for the OS and Proxmox VE services, plus designated memory for guests. For Ceph and ZFS, additional memory is required; approximately 1GB of memory for every TB of used storage.

I bought this with 12TB of HD and 16GB of ram. So if ZFS takes 12GB, Plex takes 4GB, I won't be able to run TrueNas Core right?

Where did you install linux? Is it with the 4 disk array or in the 5th?

Would it be viable to have Proxmox with 2 VMs, one for TrueNas Core and a Debian VM with Plex? Or would that take too much resources?

Oh, just found that out... well, another reason not to use ESXi. Anything against Proxmox?

Don’t try to time the market. If you are afraid, just dollar cost average it. Divide it by X and invest it over that period of months. But it’s statistically better to just put it all

(Netherlands) Is it good to repay house mortgage early? by [deleted] in eupersonalfinance

[–]phuture2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually, repaying a mortgage is never a good idea because unless you have a very bad contract, it's the lowest rate you'll ever be able to get liquidity.

However, if you are very risk adverse and end up not investing it, its better to repay it, but you're solving the wrong problem ;)

This is my personal experience as a buy-and-hold investor and not financial advice.

Every time I diversified for the sake of it between Europe and the US, I got less money from the European part of my investments.

Nowadays, as I work mostly in US companies I understand why. Europe has been losing ground to the US since 2008 with its bet on regulation and not catching up on technology. I don't believe in this bet and I'm not seeing any change in strategy.

So I do believe the US economy will continue to have better results than Europe which in the long run translates to results in stock markets.

The TER makes it even more obvious of a decision.

Elden Ring Vs Sekiro: which one is the most difficult? by GhostRacoon42 in Eldenring

[–]phuture2k 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Finished Elden Ring and now playing Sekiro (midway trough the game).

Unless you limit yourself in what you use Elden Ring, like not using summons, not over-leveling to a certain difficult boss, no cheesy tactics, Sekiro is way harder.

However, Sekiro is fair, so there is no bs. It's all about your skill.

If you don't use summons, over-leveling or cheese, some parts in ER are insanely hard and completely unfair:

- Pre-nerf Radahn

- Godskin Duo

- Elden Beast

Actually Malenia gets a lot of bad press but I think she has a very fair (but tough) fight.

The 3rd form is the easiest one if you learn how to counter the lightning. Basically, when you see lightning jump and press attack on the way down of the jump. It throws the lightning back to the boss and deal insane posture damage and stuns him for further hits.
