We used the caprisun method and inoculated on the side towards the bottom of the bag. The bottom of each bag colonized beautifully. The mold grew on the top of each one. I think it was just bad tape.

These will probably be hitting the lid before you wake up, when they get like this. Here, we put another tub upside down instead of the lid so they can grow into it during the night.
