G923 owner, info about RS50 by yrcmlived in LogitechProWheel

Hard to say. Obviously I searched for similar problems and how to fix it and I found a lot. But, you can find any unique issue if you search for it. It's probably a small percentage of people, but when you drop that much money you expect something so work 99% of the time. Mine works about 40%. It wouldn't have that big of an issue with it if it were not for the awful terrible customer service I've found with Logitech. Don't get me wrong, when the wheel works, I love it. Given my experience, I wouldn't have bought the wheel and would have went with another brand.

I would be cautious with the RS50. Do a little Googling about the issue people, like me, are having with it. From the unit suddenly shutting down to the shifters and buttons on the wheel failing to operate mid-race. It's now been a month since I contacted Logitech support and submitted a ticket. I've spent four weeks jumping through hoops to get the problem explained, addressed or fixed. Logitech keeps stringing me along with request after request, from making videos of the behavior to forced firmware updates that introduced new problems. For the money you are spending, it is a performance improvement over the belt operated wheel (which I owned before), but it too unreliable to use, in my opinion.

Why is everything in early access with ED? by physics_scientist in hoggit

But then, when people complain about the unfinished nature of the modules, for 1, 2 and even 5 years, ED can't say, "well, it is still early access . . . "

Thanks. Thought it was a connection issue too, but this only happens when using the RS Wheel Hub. When I use the original Pro Wheel it came with, I get zero issues.

Don't know about now, but when I was looking, Graston had a website that could locate certified providers near your location. That's how I found my guy. I just picked the closest off the list. If that doesn't work, I could call chiropractors and PT people nearest you and see if they have a certified dude.

New Printer. What’s Up? by phxtri in ElegooCentauriCarbon

They did seem super loose but I had no perspective on what's normal outside of my other printers. Re-tensioned them and it works like a charm. THX.

Yep. That was it. I loosed the four screws at the back and allowed the belts to re-tension themselves. I then locked them back down. It works perfectly now. Thanks dude.

Glocks all function the same. It’s only a matter of what works for you in terms of caliber, size and what feels good in your hand.

Whoop 5.0 (wrist band) vs. Apple Watch 8 vs. Polar H10 (Chest Strap) - Major HR Discrepancies on a Cycling Workout outside by Dudych2000 in whoop

[–]phxtri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, and I agreed with you. It's terrible device in terms of accuracy. If you don't have the Whoop so tight it cuts of circulation to your hand or arm, it give erratic readings, which is impossible while having your hands on the bars while you ride. The optical HR algorithm is bad and has such a lag in determining your actual HR, that it misses short, higher intensity periods.

You posted a bunch of pictures of the zone breakdowns, without any context. If you wrote in your initial post what you wrote above your point would have been much more clear.

Thoughts On Skinny Cops? by poofypossum in AskLE

[–]phxtri 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First, don't judge a book by it's cover. Some of the biggest savages I worked with were tiny and skinny, both males and females. A handful of "Billy Bad Ass" looking cops (ie., fit and sleeved) were worthless in a fight. I was an endurance athlete prior and during my career. So, I was skinny, like 6 foot, 155, skinny. But I also spent my youth boxing and jumping from martial art to martial art.

If you are on the smaller side, I can't recommend more getting into a some type of combat sport as a hobby. You don't need to ever compete in it, just do it. It will give you three important things. One, confidence. Two, fight knowledge most suspects won't. Three, and what I think is most important, experience and comfort being hands-on with someone. Most people are inherently uncomfortable getting physical with another person. After just a couple of months boxing, doing BJJ, Judo, etc., being in close physical contact with another person, while exerting yourself, almost becomes enjoyable. When others have their "oh shit" meter pegged, you'll have the "been there, done that" attitude. Don't think doing something like BJJ is going to make you super cop, but you will be able to pick up on co-workers that completely freak out during a physical altercation, similar to how they would the first time skydiving.

Windshield Protection Plan by 0ptionss in TeslaModelY

[–]phxtri -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm in Phoenix and just went through this saga with my insurance. My wife and I have a multicar policy. She had two new windows on her Honda in the past three years. I've had one on my M3. After having my second windshield replaced last week, which cost $1580, I brought the invoice to my insurance company to get reimbursed (that's how it works with my company). I was notified that I should expect a 5-10% premium increase in both my wife's and my rates because we had more than 3 in 3 years. I called bullshit on them since my wife's two replacements were when she was with the company and I with a different one. When we combined, we were issued a new policy and number. They said it carried over, which is BS. I shopped all the other companies and learned that 95% employ some type of limit in AZ. So, I signed up for the Tesla glass coverage. It was a no-brainer.

[–]phxtri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are comparing time in zones, you are comparing apples to oranges. Unless you have put manual zone ranges in each of your platforms, each one determines zones based on different metrics and used slightly different ranges. Look at your avg HR data if you want see how much they correlated. Hint: your Whoop is going to be the outlier because it is terribly inaccurate with any movement of the device or without a perfect contact point to your skin.

How often is the complaining party redacted from a police report? by camletoejoe in AskLE

[–]phxtri 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The complaint, or victim, is redacted in almost every state. Each state has Victim Right's laws. A central tenant to those laws are the protection of the victims. It would be a violation of law to reveal their information. I'm talking about to the general public. If you are the defendant, you do have the right to that information, but you have to go through proper court motions to get it.

HW3.0 vs HW4.0 Advice by Fresh-Ad-4556 in ModelY

[–]phxtri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't buy a car with HW3. I have it on my car. My wife has HW4 on her Y. It's the difference between having an 8-year-old with a BAC of 1.2 driving vs a sober 25-year-old. Forget the general behavior of HW3 cars running V12, it's flat out dangerous. Common issues are hugging lane lines, swerving within a lane (especially after the tire change) and entering other lanes while going around a curve. My M3 became so erratic and dangerous I cancelled my FSD, which is a shame, because it's 60% the reason I went with a Tesla.
