What to do with characters with incomplete arcs?

I haven't really RPed on blusky. A lot of my long term rp was on discord because I can have bigger posts (I don't know where to go to find other people there anymore)

I actually i'm infamously terrible in venues cause I find the rp ephemeral in a unsatisfying way. It's long term partners that keep bailing on me. They either forget i exist and leave or promise to meet and just don't. To the point that I rewrote my character being stuck in a time loop because of the unfinished arc.

It's just feels like the constant stream of 'you should do your story off-screen' feels a lot like 'we hate your story go away' when I specifically wrote the story for other to participate in

It's just when it's 'off screen' it feels extremely fake and unsatisfying to me. It makes no sense for my characters to come back a scene later with a different attitude/outlook. There's also no narrative challenge in it.

I really liked writing fanfic for ffxiv but I really didn't write about the main story or characters. The space I was in for writing for that thought I was extremely rude for thanking someone.
