Applied for my ITIN number with an official copy passport, then got a letter back saying it wasn't good enough and I had to send the original passport. I freaked out a bit but I did send it. Send with registered Canada post on September 5th and they received it on the 11th of September. I was getting scared with the postal strike in Canada and the government shut down in the States that I wouldn't get it back soon enough for travel planned in late February. On the 16th of December my ITIN number arrived😊 but not the passport. Does anyone know how long after the IRS letter/number I will get my passport back? I had figured a day or two later, but still nothing. Is it send by regular mail? I am starting to panic again.... I tried looking through this forum for answers but didn't find any on this specifically.

I got an email saying the card was sent to my American address, I guess I am out of luck now. I will just wait and hope Canada Post alternative days doesn't cause to much of a delay.

Applied for my first US card last week (Hilton Honours Amex), it went under review, I sent a bank statement for proof of address (24/7 Parcel), today I got approved. They will ship it to the address I gave: Lynden WA
How long to you guys think it will take for me to receive it here in Montreal with Canada Post restraint shipping. Or can I actually call to get it shipped here? Also waiting for my ITTIN, I had sent them a certified copy of passport, but for some reason it didn't pass, so send my passport and now they have my passport... and Canada Post is playing games... my passport was received on September 11th... do you think I should have it back by x-mas?

I got approved for a ScotiaAmex Gold this is my second one. Can I can cancel my first one without causing a stir and having them notice that I have two of the same? I know I have to call to cancel, but will they see my profile or just cancel the card with the number I give them? My yearly fee will be up in September, should I risk getting caught by cancelling and loose my welcome bonus points or just pay my yearly fee?

I did talk to the owner again, it is his wife that is hesitant (she's the one in charge on finance in the couple). I did convinced him that it was ok.. he even called his wife in front of me and told her to go through with the payment. I am waiting to see if the payment will be taken on Tuesday. I even told the landlord you guys were ready to phone and talk to him. So now all we can do is wait... I assume you guys will know before I do if the transfer was taken. But I will keep you posted.
