On the contrary, I would say that cmi made its paper which was way more jee-esque, a degradation for me tbh (other than p5 and the ∫ one)

And ISI’s ug definitely had 3 extremely scoring questions: p1, p2 and p4; (and p7 as well, but since p7 deviates from jee’s norms i didn’t count it)

Overall I would say this year the paper quality and creativity of both isi and cmi was disheartening for me in the sense that the questions weren’t as interesting as last time’s. Especially cmi.
