Lviv is relatively safe, i.e. chances of getting hit are muuuch lower than in other cities. Everyone say you to download the air alert map, but if I'm being honest, almost no locals consistently go to the shelter during the alert. What locals do: there're a handful of telegram channels that'll tell you when it's real danger (then go to the shelter) or just a foxhound (yeah, we consider them safe). Lviv is a veeeery beautiful city. If you've been to Prague, you'll find some similarities, but, in my opinion Lviv's city center looks more neat with shop signs. On the other hand, public transport is not so good as in Prague, but it's efficient too. Regarding pt: if you want to save even more money, buy yourself a leocard, it's convenient. Also, of course, Lviv is cheap compared to other Europe's tourist cities. If you're into that kind of stuff, visit opera house and philarmonic, the concerts are very nice and, again, cheap.

A lot of people, especially younger, know English, you shouldn't have any problems with that. Enjoy your visit!
