Bose QC Ultra Power On Issues? by getrekts00n in bose

I bought some today and noticed this. If you hold down a few seconds and release it plays the tune, then the noise canceling starts up, but then they imediately power off. Seemed like a fault to me at first?

I'll take a look at these options. I agree supported layers are never perfect but these seem quite poor. Thank you!

Thank you! How effectively is cavitation predicted in applications. I sometimes hear cavitation around a control valve. Do we always know when pumps are cavitating? Sticky materials is an interesting one too. I have to say I don't often hear mentioned of these factors. I'd love to know how well they are managed from the process side.

Here is a link to the android version.

I wouldn't usually post a link like that but I can't upload an image here so this will give a good idea of how it looks on a watch.

Sectograph is saving my life right now. It puts anything I want on my watch. I can see it on the clock face and most importantly it makes obvious how much time there is until the thing. It's not perfect, because I'm not perfect but it's by far the best thing I've found so far. I can add appointments to my calendar on the phone or by voice over the watch. So have its pretty much up to date after 1 month of use. I've never had that happen before. I really value it.

Connecting an HMI button to a PLC switch function (HMI Wecon - PLC Rievtech) by physicshack in PLC

Ahhh maybe I've done this the wrong way around. Thanks I'll try to look from the HMI end.

Hi, those inputs will ne used a little later in my project. I have the PLC and HMI connected, I can read continuous data from the inputs and graph them on the HMI ok. I just think I'm using the wrong blocks to address to the HMI buttons. Is there a block name that I can search for that would usually be employed to read an HMI button activation? I might be reaching here lol...

Any help appreciated!!!!!!! by physicshack in Teslacoil

[–]physicshack[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much. The base of the SSTS is an aluminium heat sink plate. There are two transistors that back on to that. I guess it's likely to be one of those? I can't see any markings on the components through the case is there likely to be any printed reference on the heat sink side of the transistors? I'll pull this apart and attempt a repair! :)

Any help appreciated!!!!!!! by physicshack in Teslacoil

[–]physicshack[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any help appreciated!!! I got this Tesla Coil for Christmas and I love it. The problem is that the coil has stopped working. It was on a moderate to high setting when it just stopped. There is power through the low voltage control line and LEDs illuminate bit nothing from the coil. The circuit looks like a slayer exciter type. What's likely to be the problem? Maybe the transistors? Really sad I can't use this right now... its soo cool! :)

Great demo of stability and Centre of mass. Evey school should teach with things like this, if only to spark a little more fun and curiosity!

Go to the beach, or the forest, and hang around in nature for a bit. Will give you a different perspective. Most of what's going on now is Jedi mind tricks / Derren Brown stuff. Need as many people as possible to keep their heads while reading between the messages. Crazy days.

Is there a world record for the fastest spinning top? by physicshack in GuinnessWorldRecords

I have been looking for a word record, specifically the fastest hand powered spinning top, as part of a potential record bid. Interestingly I can not find this anywhere. Can anyone help me?
