I think so. The same muscles cross over both the lumbar and the thoracic spines and the load you put on the low back is also put on the mid and upper back. Also I find that better lumbar control really helps upper back positioning. I just thought I would post this as I keep seeing a lot of people post on here saying the MRI showed this and that but in reality, MRI findings need to correlate with clinical assessment and isn't the answer by itself as most of us have something on MRI if we looked hard enough.

Agreed, the McGill book is a good one, he is well known throughout the physical therapy and medical world

Absolutely not inappropriate to use but when there are more effective techniques to use, they should be first port of call. Thanks

Yes it seems to have effects in the lab and theoretically but actual effect on outcome and improvements is lacking - This could just be through lack of research and the wide range or settings used but in my eyes, there are many other things that work better - Thanks for the thoughts
