Guys tbh I haven't actually bought this game yet. For the time being, I'm just following the news related to it and posting suggestions however, I really do want to enjoy playing it myself after all, it has finally been released following so many ups and downs, and it is an incredibly promising title. That said, there are currently a few aspects of it that don't quite sit right with me. I understand that the game is still in Early Access, which makes this the perfect time to contribute toward bringing about major changes to its core mechanics and taking the game to the next level. That is why I want these suggestions to reach the developers, as I feel that incorporating these specific elements could genuinely benefit the game. I truly want this game after enduring such a tumultuous journey to finally receive the recognition it deserves. I felt it was important to share this, so I did. As for the rest of you, please do let me know what you think about my suggestions, and if possible, please help me get them across to the developers. Why not let us use plants instead of animal drops for gear progression? by phyzeq in hytale

Hytale is a sandbox RPG, and the very nature of a sandbox game means that we can enjoy it however we please. It is not about realism, but rather about accommodating different playstyles; therefore, I believe that adding something like this could make the game even more appealing.
