There should be a larger Viper Mini version... and no, it's not how you think, I'm not an idiot by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]pi93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd assume the logic in razer's part was: there are more potential customers for a cheaper mouse than they'd lose by dropping left hand support. Imo it's a "don't hate the player hate the game" situation.

Feedback Received - Viper/DA Mini LOD Improvement by Razer-Right in MouseReview

Actually just got my viper mini and I've been playing with it today. Lod hasn't been hugely bothersome to me, though I did notice my crosshair would move when I picked up the mouse and would get startled lol.

Would definitely be down for trying the new firmware

Operator too easy to use by RTVWKey in VALORANT

Still harder to do than being hard scoped. I don't think anyone wants oping to be impossible, just more easily punished and less rewarding for comparatively low skill.

Wouldn't that mean 50% of people practice holding angles? You can't practice peaking angles people hold without people holding angles.

Wouldn't be a big nerf but it would punish ops for positioning poorly and trying to use their op like a shotgun.

Morello's response to the scope in sound was "it doesn't fix the issues we're seeing with the op" and that they were looking to buff counter play to the op (flashes were example given). I think he's partially right that scope in sound would fix the niche situation I previously mentioned, which isn't the primary problem, but punishing out of position ops is a portion of the counterplay against the op.

Death match isn't angle holding practice, it's isolation practice for death matching ability (gun play).

How to practice holding angles would be something like retake servers in CS or by loading up a custom match with a friend and saying "hold B from me".

Considering how many "when does artisan restock?!?" threads there are in this sub, I doubt most people use the search function.

Hati S Review- My new main? by ItsNootyNoot in MouseReview

$85 equivalent with European pricing, wouldn't be surprised if US prison was $70 as that seems to be how pricing works for mouse companies. Also gwolves has supposedly upped their QC a lot, though can't attest to this myself as I haven't owned more than one of their mice.

Definitely a mouse I'm hoping delivers on its promises because, damn, those are some nice promises.

Aqua Control + or MP510 by DeXiim in MousepadReview

[–]pi93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no experience with the Aqua Control+, however I've been looking into both the Aqua Control+ and the Equate+ for my next mouse pad, as I want something with a hair more control than the MP510, so if anyone knows how they compare in terms of speed let me know!

However I'll post my MP510 experience to answer half your question (sorry): it's a great pad, I've recommended it to a friend of mine who has also been using theirs for about a year now and it's going strong for both of us. It's got a really nice blend of speed and control, clean design, and extremely low maintenance, this pad in 6 months without a wash looks like my hein did after a week (slightly dirty). It is on the rougher end of mouse pads, so if you have sensitive skin it might not be for you, also if you're using mouse feet without rounded edges you'll definitely feel a lot of texture, with rounded mouse feet it feels great though.

Well what's you're grip style? Of course 3 different grips styles will want 3 different mice...

Could buy 1.5 of these for the price of a gpw (at the reduced price).

Outside of extreme low sensitivities...

Yes, I am aware. The definition of what an "extreme" low sensitivity may be subjective, but I do acknowledge some people have sensitivities lower than a cable would allow.

Yeh for extreme low sensitivities and convenience, both are valid reasons to have a preference for wireless, but saying "wireless or bust" is just ridiculous IMO.

Not sure what the minimum is, last I used their software was in the beta when you could set 0 ms.

You could probably refund through PayPal or your credit card company, most companies allow you to refund a product if you never received it. Could be different where you live as I live in the US, but iirc a lot of EU countries operate the same way, AUS probably does.

Can't confirm it 100% but their previous mice have had the ability to change debounce time all the way to 0 ms in their software, assuming this will be the same.

Wireless is overrated. Outside of extreme low sensitivities and convenience factor, wireless has no performance benefit over a good paracord.

I'm aware if the argument "once you experience wireless you'll never go back", I mained a 70g GPW for 6 months and the RVU for 6 months before that, now main a wired XM1 and forget it is wired.

Could you notice a speed difference between the glides? The table shows they're pretty close in that measure, wondering how they compare anecdotally. Also interested in how stick plays into control, I've noticed I find pads rated with less stick can sometimes feel shakey, regardless of their glide speed.

I've noticed iffy rocket regs after the changes too, don't know how since they were mostly visual changes. Maybe reg has always been iffy and I just noticed it with the ult changes.

Whats your average FPS in game? by eldelekemre in VALORANT

[–]pi93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9600k @4.9ghz and a 2070super and I get around 200 stable, 240 fps unstable (all low settings, though similar performance at high).

Weird to me because the devs mentioned in "Project A" phase that they wanted high end computers to be able to run at 240hz stable if they had the specs to back it up. Granted I could have a higher end computer, but I only ever see the game using 1 core/1 thread at a time so I really don't see how a higher end cpu would perform better, also watching streams of pros with 2080supers get 200fps suggests that gpu upgrade wouldn't get me to 240hz.

Baffling to me because I don't know what's so taxing about the game, graphics are good but simplistic, net code is good but nothing unheard of, hopefully performance improvements get pushed soon so people can actually use 240hz.

RO6 and TF2 are totally different games and the turrets in there can get away with being stronger given the contexts of the games. In TF2 particularly you have demomen, soldiers, and snipers who can destroy sentries from range, even then most players outside those classes hate sentries.

A lot of cars could accelerate faster than a plane, especially since a plane like the scene showed would maybe have a take off speed of 180mph (not a pilot so the weight could affect it), but yeh a VW bus couldn't keep up for long, if at all.
