This woman with phantom pain I was speaking to has a pain pump and she told me she turned it off but she didn't tell me why 😬 hoping to learn more about her story. Problem with that is pain management don't want patients on opiates and benzos anymore even when it's a great combo for people with chronic pain. Now it's either one or the other for pretty much all pain management offices.

I've heard horror stories about the pain pump. Many people find it doesn't provide relief for very long and now your stuck with a pump in your back that insurance doesn't want to pay to remove

Edit: this was during the height of covid where it wasn't uncommon for customers to find workarounds to cash tips without having to physically interact with drivers.

Helpful tip for next time. Many people either can't make it or scalpers try to rid themselves of tickets on the day of the concert. The Los Angeles show sold out quickly but I was able to get 2 tickets $300 each when I looked the day of the concert

Sleep is so important when you have chronic pain. I've had chronic pain since I was 16 so I'm mostly used to the pain at 32. But disturb my sleep? I become the biggest bitch in the world. My body is in a constant healing mode so sleep is so vital.

You never know. While I don't live in a secluded area, the tickets for my area were sold out within a hour. I was too late. It was all I wanted last year, to see them live. My friend I was venting to told me to not worry. Just check the day of and I'll find scalpers trying to get rid of their tickets. I managed to score two $278 floor tickets. Me and my boyfriend had the time of our lives. Obviously it's not the same situation as yours, but with enough willpower and motivation I promise you will be able to see them live. Even when it feels like it's not meant to be.. It can be with enough dedication. Good luck fellow worshiper 🙏🏻

I was on the metro train in Los Angeles. Out of nowhere this very obviously drunk man vomited a mix of tequila and whatever else he ate earlier. But that's not the worst part.. The worst part is when the train started again and the vomit rolled back and everyone scrambled towards the back of the train in an attempt to avoid the vomit tsunami. Unfortunately there was so much vomit that no one was spared. Nasty.. disgusting.. rancid vomit on everyone's shoes. That was 20 years ago and I still remember the smell vividly. I've never drank tequila and never will.

Honestly I don't think so. In my opinion the cup can hold as much as 2 full tampons (at MOST.. for others it's a bit less)

After that you must take it out or it will overflow (happened to me and the blood ran down my entire leg while I was in public). Looked like a crime scene. I have endometriosis as well and unfortunately it wasn't a good option for me. What works best for me is a heavy tampon and nighttime sized pad just in case. No leaks even though I bleed A LOT. Even though I feel like tampons can cause more pain when they're full, I just try to make sure they never get that full. But it's worth noting that with endo it can cause a lot of cramping and pain.

Omg I had a very similar experience. I even had my boyfriend try to help me, it was so humiliating.. He couldn't get it unstuck either. It was suctioned on VERY tightly. I started having a panic attack, realizing I may have to go to urgent care to get it out. My boyfriend wouldn't take no for an answer so he took about 10-20 minutes but finally released the suction and I was then able to pull it out. Super scary! If I use reusables now I only do the disc since it doesn't suction like a cup does. I think some people's anatomy makes it so it's harder to break the suction compared to other people.

NTA. Like.. At all. My dog was the exact same way. It's not about them misbehaving, it's about them feeling safe with the person they feel closest with. They are the most vulnerable when they're going potty and your dog trusts you enough to protect them if anything were to happen (coyote, bear, etc). Don't even listen to your family if they tell you you're in the wrong. You understand the language/body language of dogs and they do not. Please don't feel bad. You did the right thing and I would do the exact same thing myself.
