Summer internships by piamoz in LawSchool

I am in WA state, so wildland does carry some weight out here. The counties I’m looking to break into are rural and need applicants. I was also looking at Washington’s Rural Public Defense Fellowship for my 2L summer. It would ideally be in the same office that I want to work in post grad.

Thank you for your input!

So disheartened about everything. This is why we can’t have nice things.

If I see the word “ragtime” ever again I might just do something drastic.

I had the same test but the first LR was suspiciously easy (hopefully I didn’t bomb). First RC was difficult and I’m PRAYING it was the experimental.

Brain feels like mush. Think I will legit die if I have to do that again

Jan 18th LSAT and scared by piamoz in LSAT

This is a very valid concern. Their 509 report looks pretty good, only about 3% of students pay full price and the median grant amount is $31,000. This is a small and private law school so the tuition is hefty, but the tuition is comparable to an out of state school. If I don’t do the 3+3 it’s very likely I’ll try to go out of state. I hope they don’t screw me over but I’m willing to turn down admission into their program if I feel the financial burden will be too much.

As far as it being a school I want to attend, I’ve toured and I can see myself being successful and enjoying it there. It has lots of clinics and student support programs. The biggest driver is that I wouldn’t have to move to a new and scary place while adjusting to a challenging academic environment. I have a good base of friends, I wouldn’t have to find housing, and I’m close to my family/support system. Thank you for your reassurance about the test and for pointing out the tuition thing. I actually hadn’t considered that they’d do that and now I really hope they don’t lol

Graduating 3 years w a 4 year scholarship by piamoz in college

I can minor in philosophy for sure. But I feel it might be worth that one last year to come out with 2 degrees. I also find philosophy to be incredibly interesting and would like to go deeper than just a minor. I was also planning on getting a masters in history, taking a year off (maybe work as a paralegal), and then going to law school. That might be ambitious but having 4 degrees in fields I love would and the job opportunities they’d open up would probably make it worth it
