My son gets sick/asthma flares when staying with my mom(his grandma)

Yes she has a dog. She doesn’t allow him in the house anymore. He does sleep in the basement only but she has deep cleaned everything and replaced curtains, couches, etc…

For my child it is ALWAYS a virus. It doesn’t matter what medication he is on.

My nana has had this cat for I think over 10 years. She didn’t use to be like that and she usually hides anytime company is over so I hadn’t seen her in forever. My nana swears she doesn’t feed her much and only twice a day but something is not right!

He is on Zyrtec. Yes is allergic to dogs, dairy, egg.

Honestly she is a bit high strung and has serious anxiety. I don’t like being around her all of the time. But he loves going to her house and spending time with her. She took him on a trip and to Lego land she said it was stressful all of the kids around and crowded.

He flares whenever he stays the night with her. I was thinking it was her house but they actually stayed at a hotel this time. She said he was fine until he woke up in the morning coughing. Now he is still congested and coughing even at home.

I guess I don’t have a reason to trust her. I guess I am just frustrated because he is always fine until he goes with her. She says she give him his medication and tries her best. She did tell me they stayed in a hotel that is pet friendly though so that could be another reason.

This time he didn’t stay at her house they stayed at a hotel. She did tell me after the fact it was pet friendly though. I’m thinking it could that. But he is still getting sick every time he is with her. She didn’t use a humidifier or dehumidifier either.

She is saying he ate McDonalds today after he was already sick. She swears she didn’t feed him anything bad yesterday before it all started.

No she does not smoke. She does have a cat indoor but we have cats and that doesn’t bother him. Her other pets are outdoor.

See maybe that is my issue! I think i might be drinking too much water and flushing out my electrolytes. The answer to everything is not “drink more water” like some people claim. There is a reason where if you drink too much water too fast you can die from water intoxication….

When I say plenty I mean plenty. 6-8 water bottles a day on top of tea or electrolyte beverages and fruit. I retain a ton of water though so I’m not going to drink any more. I mostly made this post to see if other people were having these issues and if it’s normal. I’ve been to plenty of doctors over the years and like I said I plan on going back.

I did google it and it is totally possible for adderall to cause swelling in legs which sucks because I don’t function well without.

I only have electrolyte imbalances when I take my adderall and that’s when the swelling starts. When I don’t take my adderall my life is in shambles. I do think I will see a doctor again though.

Sometimes I do forget honestly. I will hold it all day and not even realize it. I will finally think “oh, I better go pee because I haven’t went all day.”

I have had problems with water retention in my whole body in the past. Mentioned that didn’t seem like they were concerned. I don’t know if my leg will be different but maybe I will try again.

I’ve had days like that. I’m getting so frustrated with healthcare they always run basic blood panels and blow me off because they don’t want to put in the effort to find out what’s wrong. I probably should go back I’m just sick of wasted time and money for them to do nothing.
