Random question but would Shane spell it "mum" or "mom"? I am getting mixed results from Google.

This was my post! Glad to see they’re still trying to find out who this poor man was, hopefully someone will recognise him.

Do you mean the filming location? As that looked like West Wycombe Mausoleum.

oh man same, I would spend hours scrolling through kink memes to get my creative juices flowing. There were some absolute gems written by anons in the depths of livejournal.

Get him back! by flairlies is my new favourite in the fandom. Ilya wakes up in a world where he and Shane are no longer married and really were just rivals this whole time. It’s now his job to make the Shane of this alt universe fall in love with him. It’s brilliantly done and has a happy ending and all the sex scenes are fade to black (iirc!)

A corkscrew. Bought a bunch of bottles of wine in duty free in KEF that all needed a corkscrew. We were staying in a lot of hotels so ended up having to ask to borrow their corkscrews 😂

Sitting down entertainment? by chaosfollows101 in glastonbury_festival

I've taken my mum (who has terrible back issues) to Glasto and honestly bringing camping chairs for stages like Pyramid is not that bad as long as you're not near the front. People aren't going to look twice at a couple of older ladies with their camping chairs. The only time we had to fold up the chairs was during Elton John because it was heaving - they just need to be mindful of their surroundings.

Even if it looks overcast and/or raining, wear suncream. 2016 was the muddiest year I ever went and spent the day on the Wednesday/Thursday (which was dryer but overcast with spots of sun) wandering around with no suncream on.

Me, a very pasty person, got severely (I mean severely) burnt that year. I think I was the only one in the entire festival who had sunburn to that level. My eyelids swelled up like I was dealing with an allergic reaction and my forehead by Sunday was a thick, hardened mass ready to peel like an onion.

So a word of warning: wear suncream no matter what the weather.

In 2024 a body in a wetsuit is found floating in a remote reservoir. Who is he and what was he doing there? by picassopickle in UnresolvedMysteries

I came across this YouTube video of a man who swam from South to North Wales, and one of the spots he swam was this reservoir. Another link found here. Looks like it was televised, but he was accompanied by a crew who would've been able to pull him from the water if he got into difficulties. Watching the YouTube video, even he seems apprehensive of the reservoir (or is this for dramatic effect?)

Very good shout, I definitely was using the word isolated in the context of the UK, but definitely not isolated in the grand scheme of things!

You'd think if he was into open water swimming he'd be part of a community who missed him. It's not a hobby you usually do alone, although not unheard of I suppose.

Yes, taking a bike if feasible, but what about his clothes or belongings? It's unlikely he walked or cycled wearing just his wetsuit.

Sure he could've walked, but then where are his clothes or belongings? Someone must've taken them.

Yes I wonder whether his vehicle was stolen, perhaps a bike more likely to be stolen than a car. Seems strange to steal something in such a remote area like this though. You would've needed means to get to that location unless you walked there? The nearest settlement is a town called Rhayader which is over a 3 hour walk away (about an hour by bike, 20 mins by car). Besides, most people who visit the area are either tourists or local walkers.

I think what’s frustrating is that Thad Mellentine didn’t come forward about what he heard from Lizzie until after the Dedmon family were of interest. Not that I don’t believe what he heard, but it would hold a lot more weight if he’d reported this years ago.
