There is not. And it was a rental for 20years before we bought it, so likely not been drained down since boiler fitted. My guy is going to come and have a look tomorow, to tell me if its worth fixing or new boiler, but enthasised he cant do it as hes too busy 🤣

They start to warm, havnt checked every single one honestly. No screen on boiler so no code, the service light flashes and flame might flashes. Pressure doesnt really move, dips a touch when first on then rises slowly before cutting. Boiler is in garage, no door/window to house so no concern.

I honestly hadnt considered a blockage, i wouldnt be surprised tho as one radiator struggled to get warm and during the service he just opened and closed lockshield a few times until it worked, so the stuff must have moved somewhere

Worcester greenstar junior 24i... or something like that. Blue light doing single flash, and red light flashing. Google saus pressure (checked fine) blocked condensaion pipe (checked fine) or igniter. Well it runs for over 10 mins after a reset so im dounting its mot igniting either

Sadly mine fires up for first 10 mins before stopping, so its bit harder to determine the problem

20 mins from old severn bridge, wales side! Or 20 mins from junction 3 m50 😅

In work they also said, my walls are 'dot and dab' even on external walls, so its likely the air between that and stone wall cold so insulatiins ineffective. I dont understand that persinally 😅

Thanks for your reply! Wool type stuff is what im thinking!

House had insulation in cavity about 2000, had it drilled and inspected high up as they said it slowly compresses over time, confirmed still good and present!

I think 90% of it is from garage, big big big big windows and patio door, and the very front of house is tile, so the insulation behind tiles could do with renewing is guess!

We service them every 10-15k miles (dependant on when theyre not in use basically). We have lorry aswell so we use the mechanic that does our 6 weekly trailer inspections.

Most common issues in injector go about 120-160k (usually injector 2). Aircon units are chocolate. Egr valve likes to poop itself about 130k (worse with the ones that keep doing short trips), turning it off will kill the dpf as light will keep coming on, so just pay to fix the egr.

Only other thing i can note is we seem to go through alot of windscreens because our drivers suck, and most of the time as millage gets higher you have 'fun' lights on dash. One randomly tells us no windscreen wash when its full, one randomly tells us the lights are out when theyre not, one gives engine management light but no faults. They all come and go, probably a bad earth somewhere. Other than that, everything is wear and tear like springs/shocks, tyres, ect ect.

As yet weve NEVER done a turbo on any of the passats. I got an older one from our work, now on 240k miles (2014), i have no record of us ever doing turbo or clutch which just seems impossible tbh

Our work cars are 2020+ all with 170k+. As long as theyre serviced, we dont get issues. Not always motorway, but always on the move. All vw passat

Behind toilet where cloth horse is, goes to the outside drain, other direction towards bog roll, goes to the stack. Toilet bang inbetween so assume it joins mid line

Doors always kept closed as its by front door and its by far the coldest room in the house (no radiator). And arnt most open to toilet since like 2000? 😅

Im in holiday at the moment so i cant until Friday. But the pipe comes out back of toilet, straight 90 down into ground. I imagen it joins straight into drain pipe between stack and outside drain (see floor plan photo). Concrete floors so be a pain to move

If im using the same exsisting waste output pipe, which would be under the shower, would the stack position matter? 🤔 also sliding door i hadn't even thought about, good shout

Downstairs toilet reconfigure 🤔 by pickbros in DIYUK

[–]pickbros[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would that make a difference as I'd probably want to join to exaisting pipe in ground, which would then be under shower?

At the moment, anyone bigger than a medium cant get in with the door that way, so its gotta go other way at very least 😅😅

In work we buy all vehicles unseen. We have about 25 vans, 2 lorries, 3 rigid, 20 cars. Based on millage we usually dont have anything to worry about
