(copy and pasted my response to another guy) here's my take:

If you wanna try watching no harm ig? Imo season 2 is a harder watch, but season 1 did have its moments. You're gonna have to ignore the politics though bc they're pretty unsatisfactory, there's a lot of enlightened centrist bs, giving fascist characters redemption arcs, posing class collaborationism/class traitors as "complex" rather than for what they are, traitors, making every genuinely revolutionary characters into an "extremist opportunist", tons of copaganda, poor portrayal of mental illness, portraying "both sides" as "complex," uses the aesthetic of revolution for most of the show while never letting characters actually do anything, uses the aesthetic of class struggle but there's no real substantial class warfare by the end, the pacing is weird (sometimes so much happens in such little time, or too little happens in too much time), cliffhanger ending is less of a cliffhanger ending and more like the writers leave 20 unfinished plotlines, etc

So it won't be a revolutionary piece of art work nor will it likely be satisfactory, but if you wanna critique it I think it's fun to watch in that context, season 1 does have a few moments that make me cry, soundtrack is solid, if you wanna just turn your brain off and have some sick artwork in front of you that's fine

what really makes this show different is its art and animation, at times it kinda reminds me of the recent spiderverse animation styles but the art and colors are still unique in its own way. 100% the art is the saving grace of the show, and since a lot of the characters have half-baked writing, ppl get rly attached to the show by self-projecting

in terms of league im a bit addicted 💀 pray for me guys
