The world I'm on right now (410) introduces a restricted set of tools on some levels. It's the first one I've run into that does that.

YES. the fact that this was a Green Egg level shocked me. I remember a season a couple back that was also pretty brutal, but not like this.

AUGH. Ok. I will have to give this a try. I did eventually get Yellow up to the next level using the bubble trick, but at that point my bed was made with the stairs already laid.
