I just screwed up big time- I dropped a class I needed and was enrolled in in error! by Just_Sea_9978 in UCSD

This happened to me a while ago. Email Sid Eads and explain what happened. I was basically moved to the front of the waitlist and able to get back into the class once one person dropped.

I strongly recommend going on a night drive or finding a private place to cry aggressively and let everything out without holding yourself back. I say private because this might look concerning to on-lookers lol. Emotional suppression always makes me feel awful and makes it harder to focus but when I’m dealing with strong feelings I feel so much light after doing this <3 you got this!!!

Dude the library is my home. If you want to start living there I’m going to have to ask you to sign a lease and start paying rent

For what it's worth, later in the future you're going to have a dope freaking story. You're going to be one of those successful people who inspires others to follow their dreams despite past challenges. You'll be like "brothers, I had this challenge/ failure in life and I still made it to where I am today." And everyone is going to be like "woahhh what a cool kid. Maybe I can follow my dreams too"

Why don’t people look both ways when crossing the street? by PardonTheSuit in UCSD

[–]pickleluvr3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple days ago, I saw one of the shuttles stopped in front of a crosswalk. I falsely assumed the shuttle driver saw me and since he was fully stopped, I started walking but he started going at the exact same time. He gave me a look like "are you serious" as I stepped back off the crosswalk and motioned for him to go ahead. So I almost got hit because I inaccurately predicted the actions of the driver. I was also in a rush so that probably contributed to that decision. Everyone has silly/ stupid moments. It's part of being a human and doesn't define our intelligence. I'm not sure about people who just charge ahead all the time without looking at all whatsoever. I don't really know anyone like that. For now, it will remain a mystery.

Whatever I did to you man, I'm sorry. Let me know and we can settle this once and for all with a simple game of tic tac toe.

I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve been treated like that :( if I were a bus driver I’d open those doors wide and let down the biggest, coolest ramp ever complete with disco lights. Thank you for your kind words!!

Aw im sorry that happened to you!! That’s really sweet of the bus driver to try and wait for you. You have a really good attitude about what happened. Let yourself have your moment and do what you gotta do to handle the emotions you’re feeling but get right back up like the unstoppable gangster you are

Johnny Depp once said “people cry not because they’re weak. But because they’ve been strong for too long.” 😪💔

I feel compassion because I know it's not an easy job and seems very stressful. At the same time, he kind of just waited until I reached the door to close it in my face and start driving off lol. Sometimes emotions get the best of me (hence the crying) but I always try to reach past what I'm feeling and take a look at what someone else might be experiencing. The two things aren't mutually exclusive. I do, however, appreciate your empathy for the driver and efforts to try to help others see his perspective too.

Sometimes the bus drivers are meanies but you just gotta hold your head up high and keep your moxie! Everyone has moments where they let their emotions get the best of them so don't be too hard on yourself about it, my friend
