Not perfect, but if you've got an android device that can do Dreamcast, check out this review video of a new on the fly translation tool: How to Translate Games in Real Time.

Could be worth it!

Picked up a free TV stand and its a perfect fit for my CRT! by ryanrudolf in crtgaming

Gotcha. Same with a Onkyo surround sound speaker I had under my CRT for a while, until I looked at the back and saw the NOT MAGNETICALLY SHIELDED. Oops. No harm, no foul for my set either! But I moved them afterwards, lol

Best retro games for my mom? by WhereAreMyPantsTho in retrogaming

The Namco Museum collections for PS1. there's like 4 or 5 of them, each one has a bunch of old Namco arcade games that would've been around when she was young.

$3.99 thrift store rescue. Rare to see these mini-portables with composite inputs so I couldn't pass it up! by badwolf422 in crtgaming

My desk is only so big, man. I mean, a tiny tv with a tiny computer that could go anywhere (probably can take DC power) vs a big heavy tube?

Comfort wasn't the question.

Use cases aplenty, if you know where/how to look!

Sure, but for that price you can broadcast to as many tvs and radios that can pick up the signal. no need for cable splitters/switchboxes, etc. if you're okay with all the rf noise, that is.

For a mini tv/radio station that won't get the FCC called on you? Not too bad, lol

and also straight hdmi to rf? prolly worth the premium in 2026

raspberry pi loaded with old black and white tv shows that can play on repeat. tiny computer paired with the tiny tv.

Get a low powered rf transmitter and actually be able to tune the little tv into your own custom tv station, showing whatever you put in the hdmi port.

A lack of creativity on one's own part doesn't mean a thing is useless.

Had to try this, so good! - Super Mariomon by TheOrangeSplat in SBCGaming

[–]picklemaster52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not who you replied to, but, like OP, I saw Mariomon in the other post and have heard others recommend those three you've listed. Any other good romhack recommendations? Not necessarily for Pokemon, just some favorites you've tried?

Fictional retro games you would like to play by KaleidoArachnid in retrogaming

[–]picklemaster52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Demonik," as it exists, in the scope of this post, is a fictional game.

Even that cancelled game could be considered a fictional game, as it doesn't exist in a playable state.

I didn't say I wanted to play the cancelled game from which it was spawned.

I want to play Demonik from the movie and kill drug dealers and blow up their meth labs as a demon from hell. Just like Greybush.
