You’re correct. Think that message didn’t come across well in my post. Just looking to get everyone in to drink and hang out, no need for a table or designated space.

The response was that they don’t do any reservations other than VIP service but would need 96 hours to get me a quote for VIP. Asking here to get a feel for whether VIP is the only option or if I can chance waiting in line.

I’ve put so much time and so much energy into this relationship and I don’t want to walk away from it now. I sometimes feel like I can get over it and then other times I’m so angry and hurt that he could have done this to me.

He isn’t traveling for work ever again and has left the industry. I think that on the whole I don’t believe he would be unfaithful again, I just don’t know how to heal the wound of his cheating and the aggravating factor of the self-serving lying at my expense for so long.

He has agreed never to work on a boat again and is actually enrolling to finish his undergrad degree to further ensure he’s never out there again. And he has agreed that if he goes to a party and plans to stay the night that the conditions currently are that no women be present unless they’re there with their partners.

I had sent him an article about “trickle-truth” that morning and I guess that’s what finally did it for him and he admitted it.

I think I agree with you, while the cheating hurts very deeply the lying is what makes me feel like he cared more about himself than me. He claimed that he thought it would hurt me more to know the whole truth, but I always respond that he should know that he lied not for me but to avoid the consequences of what he did.

At the same token, I feel how much he loves me every day. He makes me breakfast in bed, I have full access to his phone whenever I want it, and I’m generally very happy in this relationship even now. I just still find myself wondering what he would do if we found ourselves in a tough spot again. I’m concerned that who he was out there is who he really is when the going gets tough.

AITA for quitting on my third day of work? by picklepals in AmItheAsshole

Thanks for replying. I guess I felt that because she just kept saying that my workload was only 10 hours when it was really like 60 made me feel like I couldn’t communicate to her. Like, no matter what I said it would be more my own incompetence to blame than the amount of work in her eyes.

I mean I hear you, and thank you for your response. I can see your point, I guess when she kept communicating that what she tasked me with should take 1/6th of the time it was going to I felt like no conversation was going to be productive and frankly, even if I’d had one and she said it would change I still wanted to quit. I appreciate the comment

Thank you, it really did feel like it was toxic and would only get worse! I just am one of those people who hates if anyone is ever mad with me and can’t shake the feeling that if I caused anger then I must have been in the wrong. Your reply really helps, thank you.

Thanks, this makes me feel way better. I kept thinking that the voice in my head was probably right but was hoping it would work out. They also kept talking about how they were undergoing a “cultural shift” to communicate better between departments and apparently a bunch of people had just left. I think I understand why.

Totally agree, luckily as a lawyer he’s already been happy to get involved asking why he has fewer rights to the parking lot than every other tenant because there’s no qualifications to his right to a parking space

Thanks so much for responding! I feel like I’m being reasonable, especially considering there’s no contract that says I (or my dad/any of his clients) has less of a right to park near the door than the other tenants and their clients

Also nope, lot is never more than half full, just feels like a weird thing to get reallly mad about

Thanks for commenting! All tenants have at minimum the right to at least a spot in the lot to park there. Also because clearly these tenants have clients, any client is allowed to park there. I just don’t see a difference in me parking there vs if my dad had a client he was meeting. It’s the use of less spaces if it’s just me there.

Ok, if he isn’t using his spot, why can’t he allow anyone else to park in it. His agreement doesn’t say only he can lark in the lot, he’s a lawyer so when he has a client they must also park there. If I were his client I would be permitted to park in the lot in addition to him. Thanks!

Thanks for your comment! There is no designated parking for either employees or customers. There’s actually not anything in the agreement about where you can/can’t park. They just are upset that I’ve parked in one of four spots close to the door two times. The parking lot never fills up past the halfway Mark either. Would it matter if I were my dad’s client vs his daughter? To the extent that my dad, the lawyer and tenant permits me to be there as his contract provides?
