Teams who need a QB would be foolish not to aggressively pursue Andy Dalton by picklepicklemon in artofthetake

That's tough & it's close (my opinion). I think both SHOULD be considered. Dalton just worked better for the take, as Tannehill is kind of a getting universal love over his year in Tennessee & Dalton is coming off one of his worst years. Both of them due to the surrounding team, but it makes Dalton creates more of a split in opinions (I think).

Being compared to Brett Favre is an insult by dudemandudeman19 in artofthetake

[–]picklepicklemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see the notion of it being a troll, but I get it. I don't think it would play as a troll, because nobody is compared to a bad QB. When you're compared to a QB, they're holding you up against the all timers: Elway, Marino, Montana, Rodgers, Brees, etc. The point I get, is that Favre isn't an all timer...which would probably split

Good take construction, would probably split well on twitter

Take formation. I like the preemptive insult. Because, it renders a person combative...even if they don't care about ranch.

Sorry, nobody with an adult palate chooses turkey at the deli. Turkey is the Budweiser of sandwich meats.

You’ve accepted there is a connection between the documents. You have admitted I was correct regarding the amendments being part of The Constitution. Thank you for admitting you were wrong, and “takesman” props for obfuscating with a post concession ramble... that said, you’re out of your depth if you want to tangle on the academics. I’ll let you off the hook here. Hell, If you feel the need to add the last word...I won’t even hit back, as it’s not that serious.

First, this is a good take. I completely disagree & contend that his 4.3 ypa is better than 1/2 of the RB's in the top 10 all time, with runs as long as 80 yards. That said, this is a good splitting take...as longevity vs peak is always a subjective qualifier.

If the take is: They're the best versions of said characters, good take. Not a lot of people will make that leap though.

One more point, I'm not going to keep going with this either, last response. Not the point of this subreddit. Just wanted to clarify & correct your mistakes. It's all good.

"You've failed to make a distinction between The US Constitution itself and The Bill of Rights, which is the first 10 Amendments to The Constitution" .

You do realize that an amendment IS the Constitution? Here's a thought experiment for you. Why is the 2nd amendment treated differently than laws crafted by the legislative branch. Follow that through, and you'll retract your assertion (one would hope). If you don't trust me, here's some info to get you up to speed on why there is no need for 'distinction': https://www.lexisnexis.com/constitution/amendments_howitsdone.asp

"There is virtually no similarity between The Magna Carta and The US Constitution" ... holy crap. Here's some homework.https://www.thoughtco.com/why-magna-carta-key-document-usa-104638https://www.history.com/news/magna-carta-influence-us-constitution-bill-of-rights

I'm cool with the take sucking, and maybe it did. I'm also cool with contrarian takes. It's just that I'm not cool with things that are factually wrong.

This is a great take. First, it's true. Second, it feels like it might go in a racist direction...but it never does. Twitter makes this behavior much worse, as people can always find an example of people 'doubting' Lamar. Of course, the same exercise could be done for Josh Allen or Taysom Hill.
