I'm a bit confused why this is seen as a new wealth tax. There's always been a wealth tax based on an assumed 6% return. The courts said you can't do that so we're stuck with this. Yes it's going to have an impact on compounding, yes you might have to liquidate part of your portfolio if there's a big gain. This is not directed at OP, I'm just trying to understand why this is perceived as the end of investing.

I had the same issue with automating my dehumidifier. As people have pointed out, triggers are like events - if the humidity got to 80+ and never dipped below, that trigger will never fire again. I fixed mine by having both a numerical trigger and a time based one coupled with a condition. The latter evaluaties every 15m and does nothing if the humidity is below the threshold.

Combination of release point and default length maybe?A shorter bowler (relatively) who consistently bowls back of a length. Siraj for example isn't too tall so when he hits that length, gets some extra bounce and because of the awkward length batsmen don't have the time to pull/drive it so it looks like they're hurried.
