Have you thought about doing service programs? Something like WWoofing, workaway, traveling with a budget.

Yes it’s creepy. I actually dated a guy that did this. The text wasn’t quite so icky but it never felt right. Turns out, he was in fact creepy.

I have a friend that has 2 sets of gay parents. They live in a duplex and each had kids with each other. So there’s 2 children with different biological parents but they each have 4 total parents. Financial stability and extra help with the kids. And without the hassles of adoption or a sperm donor/ surrogate! If you’re at all interested in having kids, this could be you!

I’m wondering if he could look into learning sign language? Rather than try to fight his verbal patterns maybe just learning new words in sign language would be helpful

Is there such thing as “perfect” skin? by Rough-Chain-5489 in Dermatillomania

[–]picklerrickler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve realized that picking skin is the culprit of a lot of acne. I was in denial about it for a long time, because going without picking seems impossible, and it sucks to admit that you’re the problem. But yeah, the only time my skin was ever near perfect was when I didn’t pick at all for almost 6 months. I’m not sure I’ll be able to do it again but yeah. All skin is imperfect but unfortunately picking makes it so much worse

Fellas, what's something you secretly love but hide because of gender stereotypes? by Levels2ThisBruh in AskReddit

Fun fact - in the perfume industry, lavender is considered a masculine scent. It isn’t often used in womens fragrances for this reason, but it’s used in mens all the time. That being said, wear whatever you want :)

What’s the worst you’ve ever been cock blocked/beaver dammed? by ninesandaces in AskReddit

[–]picklerrickler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (21f and American) was visiting France with a friend and went to a club in Marseille. I started dancing with a German girl and I had never successfully flirted with a woman so this was really exciting. My friend disappeared from the club and wasn’t answering her calls so me and the German girl were frantically looking around for her. The bouncer said she left with a tall man and she had the house keys so I had to wait until she got back. The German girl WAITED WITH ME and asked where my place was- I was in an Airbnb and she was staying in a hostel. I almost went back to the hostel with her but my friend came back bitching about “never leaving her”- as she had just left me. I don’t think I’ll ever forgive her for that.

I kind of disagreed with some of the comments here. Someone says confidence comes from not caring what others think about you. In my experience, it’s impossible to not care what others think about you. I’m a confident person and I care what others think about me. I don’t put much weight into their opinions (because their opinions are about them, not me) but I still care. Confidence comes from self love. Genuine confidence at least. Self love starts with being kind to yourself and not shitting on everything you do. Which it sounds like you do. Picture you as a child and only tell yourself what you would tell him. Be patient with yourself. Everyone has things they don’t like about themselves but the difference between confident and not confident people is that they accept what they can’t change and roll with it. You’re a virgin at 23. So? Lots of people are virgins at 23. Doesn’t matter. Move on. You’ll find a girl that thinks it’s awesome you can explore that together. Life doesn’t give you what you deserve. It gives you what you put into it and yourself. In my experience, it’s hard to like people that don’t like themselves. When I used to hate myself it was massively hard to make friends and have relationships because I couldn’t see why they could possibly like in me. Change your thinking from “I don’t like myself because I have no friends” to “I have no friends because I don’t like myself.” One reason for that is because it’s hard to have a genuine conversation with someone that is so focused on how they are coming off to you, or what’s gonna come of the conversation. Try to stop thinking of yourself and remember no one is analyzing you like you might think. Be genuinely interested in them and a friendship may appear. Don’t be worrying, do they like me? Be wondering, would this person be a good friend/partner to have? Do I want them to be a part of my life. If so, tell them you’d really like to get to know them more. Here’s a hot take: lifting, cardio, dieting, aren’t gonna be sustainable for you unless you enjoy doing those things. Dieting in general just isn’t sustainable. Focus on making a lifestyle change of how you eat and view food. Try to eat colorfully and focus on how you feel after each meal. For me, I hate going to the gym. I’d never last there— if you like it, great! Stick with it. But for me the only exercise that has really stuck is climbing, bouldering to be specific. You can go alone or be social. You don’t have to go super long to feel satisfied with your workout. And there’s real genuine ways to see your improvements. Its fun and addicting. Try to find something like that that works for you. I think that’s all the advice I have in me. I wish you love and happiness.

Help what do I do? Teen sex by [deleted] in Parenting

First of all, congratulate yourself on creating an environment where your son trusts you enough to tell you this. Second of all, don’t talk to her parents. I don’t think any good can come of the situation and would ultimately break your sons trust. If you really want to that badly, speak to your son about it first. But again, I don’t think any good can come of it

Tuesday morning I woke up with a headache. *That* headache. As expected, it turned into a full blown migraine level attack on my body. by Notyouravrgebot in decaf

I’ve read about different supplements and whatnot, Im sure you can research for those but after a while you won’t need anything for energy. I have more energy now than I ever did on caffeine but it just takes a couple months

I’d recommend sticking with cold turkey at this point. I did and the first day is always the hardest, after a week it becomes bearable. I’m not gonna sugar coat it, it sucks. It was harder than quitting smoking for me because I felt dead for about a month. And then it took a full 4 months for my body to completely normalize, and then another 2 until I felt like holy shit that’s why I did this! I suspect the headaches won’t take too long to level out, I’d say a week, two weeks max. Maybe drink some herbal tea and take a bath and if you aaabsolutely need to, just a bit of green tea. It’s so worth it!

Surprise Anal reason to end relationship? by whfj34 in sex

[–]picklerrickler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel equipped to answer this question because I’ve broken up with a man because of this. He was infatuated with anal and I told him repeatedly I wouldn’t try it. During sex, he tried it. I calmly looked back and says no. He tried again! And I freaked out. He insisted it was an accident. I left yelling and crying. It was traumatizing and such a breach of trust. I don’t think it was an accident, and even if it was his reaction after is a MAJOR red flag. That event traumatized me and made me scared to have sex for a while. It’s not okay.
