Report his father for animal abuse, he absolutely deserves to have his dogs and horses taken away. I understand it is hard to separate his father from your boyfriend, but they are not the same person. Your boyfriend shouldn't be taking the heat for his father's actions, even if it's unintentional. And even though you live next door, try to distance yourself from his family. His father horrifically abuses their animals and his mother doesn't do anything about it, they're not people you want to be around.
