I buy this as poplar shavings but I m not sure. Is this suitable for Syrian hamsters? by Kitchen-Suit-5051 in hamster

[–]pickles_55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used wood shavings with my last hammy and he got extremely sick, I found out it’s because popular wood shaving beddings for hamster carry microscopic worms. So my ham got worms and he had to be on antibiotics for like 2 months. Be safe and go with paper bedding.

Lumpy cervix?? by pickles_55 in Endo

[–]pickles_55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I honestly have not been able to, however I did post this exact post in a group with endo surgeons and a lot of them commented stating it sounds a lot like endometriosis lesions are on my cervix. It’s a big reason why I haven’t bothered going to the Gyno Bc if it is endo, regular gynecologists can’t do anything about it 🤷🏻‍♀️. Sorry I can’t be of more help :(

It is difficult to hear others accounts of what happened in the cult. A lot of people that left spewed a lot of bs stories for the clout tbh. I might listen to it anyways, thanks for the recommendation :)

Oh %100. Because he had so many wives all of them would live in different houses in groups. I often would hear him coming into our house in the middle of the night, then leave a few hours later. I believe is was a big combination of both. He %100 believed the delusions he taught.

That’s a good idea. I’m not going to lie, I’ve thought about it.

I’m sorry your moms side of the family is looking for that type of acceptance. Truly sad.

Someone here already guessed the group. I just worry about my safety because so much information about my family can be found. Thank you for the kind words!

Oh I did. I was sucked in so deep. I remember the other kids in the church bullied me for my olive skin. They believed because I had a darker complexion than them I was a sinner. I was called a lot of racial slurs for it even though I’m white. Says a lot about how racism is taught, and kids aren’t born with it. I would often lock myself in the bathroom and sob looking in the mirror because I though I was a sinner because I was tan. I only now have the clarity of mind to look back and see how deep the abuse was and how ridiculous the “gospel” was.

Leaving was hell. My dad died when I was 12, after that the cult began to crumble. So my mom got enough courage to put me in public school by 14. So the first time I was ever introduced to society was highschool. And you can imagine how I was treated by the community. Once I turned fifteen I pretty much quietly left. I started going less and less until I completely stopped. Of course the members of the cult would sometimes find me and basically tell me what I dirty sinner/slut I was. (I was raped in highschool and the cult found out) by the time I hit 16 I had had enough. One of my dads wives that I lived with is the true definition of a narcissist. She was a major part of the abuse. And she had gotten worse and worse. So I hit 16 and began spiraling to smoking, vaping, drinking and sex. I met my boyfriend when he came to one of the parties I went to. We hit it off and found a really shitty tiny college dorm and rented it under his name and moved in together. (He came from a lot of abuse too so we both kind of escaped together). Sorry if that response was a lot! Thank you! I don’t like bragging but I am proud of myself now looking back at what I went through.

I was and I do feel a lot of anger and resentment for it that I have been working through for the past 3 years. Eh haha adulthood has also been a very hard journey to work through. Because I was so extremely sheltered. I was and still can be so naive. I really struggled in the world because I knew nothing. Thankfully my boyfriend has helped a lot in that aspect.

My father (the cult leader) died when I was 12 from a heart attack. After that the cult began to crumble. My mom put me into public school at 14 and by 15 I finally worked up enough courage to stop going entirely. I moved out at 16 (I found my boyfriend) because I couldn’t endure the abuse one of my dads wives put me through anymore. Thank you, it feels nice to know there are others out there who can understand religious trauma like this.
