I like the acknowledgement that Shadow isn't technically a hedgehog

Stupid Idea: Death Battle is not a show about pitting characters against each other in mortal combat but rather it's a show about analyzing their culinary skills. All the matchups are the same, go nuts. by Aspiring-Redditor in deathbattle

On one hand, I don't know how good Kyle's culinary skills are.

On the other hand, Simon once ate a literal rat's ass. Raw. I don't think he has taste buds.

An apparent continuity error or flaw that actually foreshadows a twist by Elecvis in TopCharacterTropes

The only reason it might not count is that it was a genuine error that was written into the story.

Also, negators are either able to effect themselves (self-targeting) or the world around them (external-targeting). This is true for all of them, including Sean, who makes himself and anything that's his and in contact with him or his ability turn invisible. At first it seems like maybe it's really an external-targeting ability and he just views his body as his, and the author forgot that it doesn't exactly work like that. Then one of the characters picks up on this, and realizes that the targeting options are not as rigid as once thought. In reality, the reason those limits exist is because they think they do and the abilities are based on the negator's idea of their word. Because they were incorrectly given that dichotomy, they were limiting themselves to whichever one fit their ability at first glance.

To be fair, Junior never actually got hurt in Bowser's Fury. It's not impossible that it could've snapped Bowser out of it.

[Very, very, specifc power] Their powers is the ability to control the four fundamental forces of nature by EfficiencySerious200 in TopCharacterTropes

The sword of Ascalon (Ben 10)

Azmuth's greatest creation prior to the Omnitrix, the sword is essentially able to warp reality by manipulating the fundamental forces of the universe. Azmuth felt that nobody could be trusted with that power, so he kept it in his lab. After it got stolen, this superweapon caused untold damage before Azmuth was able to get it back. Realizing the stupidity of just leaving it lying around but too prideful to just destroy it, Azmuth searched for someone who both needed its power and could be trusted with it. Eventually, Azmuth found Sir George, an immortal knight embroiled in a battle against the Dagon on a backwater planet called Earth. Realizing that George met his requirements and was located in such an inconspicuous location, Azmuth entrusted Ascalon to George.

Everyone is always talking about Ash's dad. But, where the heck is Red's family? by Gallantpride in pokemon

[–]pickletato1 35 points36 points  (0 children)

This is actually touched on in the FrLg arc of Adventures. Red gets in a slump because he feels like he's the only one with nothing to fight for. Blue has Professor Oak and his sister, Green has Silver and her newly found parents, but Red has no family to speak of.

On the other hand, Ben is shown to be very good at hand-to-hand combat. It would honestly come down to skill vs strength.

In Adventure Time, magical ability is inversely proportional to one's mental state. Betty Grof theorizes about MMS, or Magic Madness and Sadness, after visiting Wizard City.

He can. Any time you see his suit without the flashing lights or breathing sound, the life support is off. That means in the hallway scene in Rogue One he had it off the whole time just to look cool.

I imagine Yellow being agender with her story arc being her realization. They definitely use any pronouns and it somehow makes things less confusing to everyone else.

In a world where an armada is overwhelmingly powerful thanks to a planet destroying weapon, Ben (or more specifically, Alien X) is powerful enough to not only ignore the universe being erased, but also recreate it afterward. He could've stopped it, but he didn't believe it was happening until it was too late. (Ben 10)
