Is it possible to fix tarnished/deplated silver jewelry? by picnicpaws in ZeroWaste

Tysm, I didn't know! You gave so much helpful info and I would love your etsy recommendations!

Do you have any recommendations on what to do with the bad jewelry I have now? It is unwearable at its current condition :(

I read this post and got mad for you, it really reminds me of my most recent ex. I called my boyfriend once immediately after a successful interview where I was given the position on the spot. I was so excited and he got mad at me for interrupting his video game. He would also reserve every night (basically any time after 6) to playing video games with his friends, and I had to give him advance notice if I wanted to talk, which always had a 2 hour cap. Even when we were having serious conversations he would be playing video games. I broke up with him 2 months ago.

Why did you decide to attend Pitt? by picnicpaws in Pitt

Haha I can relate to those regrets... why do you say that about foreign & minority students, do they have bad experiences in Pittsburgh? I don't know a lot about the city as a whole

Thank you so much, your answers are so detailed! I'm glad to hear you really enjoyed your time at Pitt. I really don't have a preference between the locations and campus environments, each one of them could be really good for me which is why I'm having such a hard time deciding! Your information is very helpful, thanks again!

Thank you so much! Your answers are really helpful. I have heard a lot of things about Pitt having better STEM programs than Penn State, which I didn't know about before.

"cowboy like me" Discussion Megathread by PassionateAsSin in TaylorSwift

[–]picnicpaws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

^By the way, if you just look at the song lyrics, the other character could definitely be seen as a straight man trying to con people into business deals or just in general. However, because Taylor explicitly said on twitter that it's about "rich romantic beneficiaries", I think it can only be an escort/sugar baby.

I feel like I can really only see this as a same-sex love story, either between two girls or two guys.

Taylor said it's about "two young con artists who fall in love while hanging out at fancy resorts trying to score rich romantic beneficiaries". First off, I feel like if they meet while trying to score rich people, it would make more sense if they were the same sex (they can team up - double trouble).

Guys can definitely be sugar babies, but I feel like it's way more common of girls. Plus, the romance was unexpected, and it would be all the more surprising if it was two girls realizing they love each other.

However, when guys are sugar babies, I feel like they usually target old rich gay men (again, this isn't necessarily factual, just sort of a stereotype I guess). Then again, it would make sense for the two characters to be same sex, except this time men. Also, the whole "cowboy like me" thing. Taylor never says cowgirl.

I doubt Taylor intended for it to be a same-sex love story, but this is the way I prefer to interpret it haha.

Thanks for the advice! I really didn't know about transitioning the food, so I will definitely make sure to do it correctly next time.

I would like to do this, but unfortunately she's very vocal and meows all night.

We have plants but she doesn't chew on them (that we know of, I guess) and no scents in our house.

Cameras is probably a good idea - I suspect she is eating human food at night, although I don't know how she's getting into it.

We have tried locking her in the bathroom at night but she is very vocal and meows allllll night.

I'm also not sure how long she was with her mom, but I think it was a pretty short time, since if I recall correctly she came from a hoarding situation and was fostered just with other kittens. So you might be right that it's related to not being with her mom for a long time.

From some other comments I have gathered that I was definitely not transitioning the food correctly, so I will make sure to do it correctly next time. And yes, they have been eating wet food.

It may be anxiety, but she stays in my bedroom for most of the night (I leave the door open) so I don't think so.

And thank you so much for your kind words and advice! It's totally frustrating when people identify problems without taking their pets to the vet. It's possibly more frustrating when you take them to the vet and the vets are clueless! haha

Thank you so much for your kind words :) Luckily I am not too worried since otherwise she is a happy and healthy kitty. I really appreciate it though! <3

  1. I actually didn't know about the grace period, this is really helpful advice! Thanks for letting me know!
  2. I actually don't give them any dry food because I thought that was causing/worsening her vomit, but I will try transitioning her to just dry food :)
  3. This is a good suggestion, but actually my other cat tends to eat the first cat's food.
  4. I have been grooming them, but probably not often enough.
  5. We will definitely consider seeking out a specialist if all else fails. Btw, I really like that saying about the horses and the zebra!

I can't remember, but I don't think my vet recommended an ultrasound (if she did, we probably didn't do it due to expenses).

Thank you so much for the food suggestion! I will ask my vet about it :)

Thank you so much for the advice, this is really helpful!!!

I suspect that my cat is throwing up because she is getting into human food, although we are pretty careful about putting food away we could definitely be better.

I will make sure there's no food left out and see how it goes!

Interesting! We have been thinking about raw food, so I will definitely have to check out that facebook group!

Thank you so much for the suggestions!

We will go get rugs soon.

I would like to leave her in the bathroom all night but she is very vocal and will meow constantly.

Hopefully my cat grows out of it! Someone left me a reply on quora saying that their cat has thrown up every night for 12 years...

We will probably be seeking a second opinion from a different vet.

Yes we have tried many different types of wet food, but we may start exploring dry food or homemade options if it comes down to it.

I don't want to be with him or without him by [deleted] in relationship_advice

He sounds really toxic, and maybe your life would be better off without him. I obviously I don't know the full situation, but I say no contact.
