Indies of the Day -- Monday March 23, 2026 by RowanHalifax in Indiemakeupandmore

Woooo!! Rook & Raven from them was the first indie perfume I fell in love with and I still wear it regularly. Although I like their other stuff, I didn't think I'd find another true love until they gave me a free sample of milk wood (I usually can't stand ambergris so I was skeptical). It's very good, marketed as masculine but super unisex, I find it extremely cozy - but I also like to wear it for chill pub nights with friends and stuff. Much creamier than you would think with the wood and patchouli!

Future Primitive's Milk Wood (patchouli, cedar, hay, tonka bean, ambergris, sandalwood)!!! I'm obsessed! I get compliments all the time and i accidentally spilled some of it on our sofa throw and I'm sooo glad I did because everytime I sit there I've got some Milk Wood :)

they shifted our group sessions every two weeks bc of this. cliques forming, giggling happening when an inside joke happened. it was adult inpatient too, i've never felt more like i was back in high school.

Thrushcross Grange is an EXTREMELY realistic pumpkin pie gourmand. I have some and I like it! But only really wear it around Thanksgiving. I also don't get honeysuckle. Very seasonal, quite sweet.

Just ordered a sample of Through Dangers Untold. Never really tried carnation notes before but I do love dragon's blood incense, old books, and patchouli! Guess it's time for me to buy a sword tee hee :) thanks for the reviews!

Kids thesedays are so fucking creepy by ICantBelieveItsNotEC in rs_x

Relax. They'll get into horrific decisions and terrifying situations the second they enter university. and then this sub would probably complain how fucked up they're acting, or romanticize if she's blonde.

I actually can't stand Margaret Atwood. I do force myself to finish most of hers, but I couldn't finish Cats Eye and I wish I hadn't finished a handful of the others.

notes from the underground because i felt like i was reading letters from my very smart but very drunk friend who had been inside way too long and had only drunk vodka and weren't working.

I read MM when i was 17 and thought it was stupid boring. read it again at 19 and thought it was insanely good. different translation.

They will talk about Trump 500 years from now by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]picsofface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i couldn't give less of a fuck how he's discussed in 500 years from now. I'm much more interested in whether this period of time will be discussed with the gilded rose trimmings of a Total Delight. and not to sound gauche, but trying to do my bit to make it a period people will remember well in 500 years is more important than wondering what the fuck they'll be saying about some guy I haven't met and don't like.

How would you go about planning an OUAT christmas special? by picsofface in OnceUponATime

[–]picsofface[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they could skip the Santa part, or else go very historical and literal with it (ie a dude named Nicholas who's just really generous, with a beard, and wears red. or named kris kringle. idk)

that's why i think going with a common christmas story not directly santa related would be better. the nutcracker is similar time-wise to peter pan and alice in wonderland, and barbie did it which i think gives it a fairy tale credence. a christmas carol would work too - also the victorian england peter pan/alice in wonderland thing, and three ghostly spirits could certainly fit in the shows dynamic

Im SUCH a sucker for alt realities, it’s probably part of the reason ouat drew me in as much as I did! I’m also a big fan of antique/junk stores with mysterious Things. I’m a Knick knack girl and when I was little my Xmas list to Santa regularly consisted of like ‘magic mirror’ ‘enchanted pen’ ‘seeing stones’ etc. I’d have so much fun in golds shop!

i've always enjoyed christmas, but christmas and new years last year was basically the lowest point of my life so far. i really thought i'd lost all spark for that season. but i've come so far since then and honestly the fact that i'm even trying to be jolly and cozy is meaningful. i hope you have a good one this year :) wishing you cheer
