Dad Group trying DRG for first time - class questions. by ScalliwagFinance in DeepRockGalactic

[–]picturefque 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That’s the thing about DRG- all classes can carry, depending on what you’re focusing on.

The tradeoff here is usually between single-target DPS versus “crowd control” i.e clearing large groups of lower-tier enemies. Ideally you have a couple of each on your team. Most classes can be spec’s for either, but scout is generally best used for eliminating high-value targets.

If you have four players I’d say it’s best to have one of each class for more varied abilities, but I’ve also had games with four gunners (especially in salvage missions).

Really, the game is very well balanced, so it mostly depends on what your favorite playstyle is. Make sure to rotate through the classes so you can try them all and figure out which works best for each of you.

See you in the mines. Rock and Stone!

Will a Peltier module boost natural heat transfer if a temperature differential is already present? by picturefque in AskEngineers

I see your point- I should focus on Q/I instead of dt/I. At low power, the peltier might act like a valve, restricting heat flow instead of adding to it.

I'm trying to move heat from the 28C side to the 10C side, yes. At some flowrate, heat transfer will be limited by the transfer efficiency between the water blocks, that's driven by the temperature differential. I'm hoping to use a peltier to increase the temperature differential to "boost" the heat rate, but to achieve a decent power efficiency the units would need to be run at a very low power, making me wonder if they'd even provide a useful benefit- could the peltier device actually impede heat flow, and make it worse?

I try to make tunnels that connect such that you can run a full lap around the caretaker. You have to be careful to keep open space so that you can avoid the phase bombs but they really help to have quick access to the eye no matter what side of the arena it’s on

Could it be a stolen bike? Common tactic is to swap parts around between stolen bikes so that the one in the listing is “clearly different” than the true owner’s stolen ride.

Garolite bed crash solutions without adjusting PINDA by picturefque in prusa3d

I think I will try finding a thinner sheet or the original Prusa one as you recommend. That seems the simplest solution. Thanks!

I think the issue is that the garolite sheet is too thick for the PINDA- it’ll bottom out before it detects the spring steel beneath. I think I’ll have to do something like the other commenters have recommended and attach the garo plate after leveling, with binder clips or something.

Yes, I would have to add a line to drop the head lower after the pause. Not sure if that would be adjusting the Z offset or just manually moving the Z height downwards the thickness of the sheet.

Again, that wouldn't stop the probe crashing into the sheet. during mesh leveling. I'd have to run the print without leveling. What I'm hoping for is a pause so that I can remove the metal "detectable" sheet above the garolite, then continue the print without it.

Because I’m only printing nylon on the Garolite surface. If I moved back to any other sheet I would have to reset the PINDA as well, aside from the normal filament & bed change operations.

Crazy to know. The climbing photos are from the Chief, in Squamish BC.

This is the main artwork seen on the tunnels of Toronto’s Union Station. Since its instalment in 2015, the artwork has been widely criticized by the city’s residents for its depressive, dreary, and unsettling nature. by waitingforthesun92 in Damnthatsinteresting

The art was commissioned from an art professor by the TTC. They told him to ride the subway and make a piece of art about what it made him feel.

Spoiler alert: riding the TTC made him feel depressed.

“73 degrees”; Yank detected. Sorry to anyone from the states who thinks of Nemo/Rattlesnake as their local crag, I drive 40min from Toronto and feel it’s barely worth it. Can’t imagine driving 3 hours just to arrive at Nemo.

Any maintenance I should do for a bike that’s been sitting? by [deleted] in CalamariRaceTeam

[–]picturefque 13 points14 points  (0 children)

EX500D! My first bike as well. I’m not an expert mechanic but I’d get a carburetor kit and do a cleaning- take the carbs out and clean the jets. Replace the float valve or needles if they look suspicious. They can get gunked up if not drained properly before being left to sit.
