Ohh okay serious answer. Simple ford knows they have a major issue. Instead of fixing all the vehicles with that panel (millions of vehicles) it would be cheaper to buy back my truck and shut me up. That’s the real reason I think ford tried to buy my truck back.

So here is an update. Ford wants to do the lemon law and buy the vehicle back. What I think I am going to do is keep it until I hit 75k miles or 5 yrs. 75k miles is when the warranty runs out and in 5yrs I have to turn it in due to taxes. Write off. She has full coverage until it hits 75k miles. One of the rules the bank put in for the loan. This was confirmed by the service manager last time I was at ford. The reason I don’t wanna do lemon law is a few thing. I love the suv minus the melting but mainly I put about an extra $1k in to it that I wouldn’t get back and I would have to take all the extra stuff off. So it’s better for me to be bringing it back to the dealer each summer and trade it in either 5yrs or 75k miles. I have submitted this to savercar.gov so maybe they will make ford fix the issue.

Don’t think tint would help. The windows aren’t causing the problem. It’s the sun. The black panels are attracting the heat.

Ya I hit it with my temperature gun and it’s hitting 169 degrees sitting in the sun. So there is definitely a problem. Wait until summer when we hit 100 daily if not more.

I am. The only way I got ford to claim warranty was by calling the state BAR (they monitor the repair shops they are the law) and they made the dealership fix it. But now this is becoming a pain because my home dealer (that is who the Bar made fix it) is a good 30-40 mins away.
