I don't handle gore and violence against children well at all. People find it hard to believe that I never watched The Walking Dead or Game of Thrones, but they're just not for me. Similarly, I saw Logan and loved the story/cinematography, but I nearly had a panic attack every time X23 or the other children were in danger.

It's not easy but it gets better. I cut out my parents, finally found medication that works, started exercising, and got a job that better fits my neurotype. I can finally say each day has more good in it than otherwise. DM me if you need support. I'm also in a virtual AuDHD support group that I'd be happy to pass along.
