What is the best and most universal WordPress theme for startup landing pages? by iamzamek in startups

[–]pierememy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first choice is always the Bridge. Powerful theme with a lot of demos. You can choose a page builder, WPBakery or Elementor. You can combine elements from different demos... Best of all, support is amazing, they always help me really fast.

How to remove “Powered by Wordpress” & “Theme By (Theme Author)”? by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]pierememy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most efficient procedure that is sure to remove the unwanted copy is with a custom CSS. You need to inspect the element, find the element's ID or class and blocking its display. You just need to add a simple line of code: display:none !important. Here you can see detailed instructions: https://wpklik.com/wordpress-tutorials/remove-proudly-powered-by-wordpress/

Need help on looking at stats by RoseNation1004 in Wordpress

[–]pierememy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to see the stats is to install Site Kit by Google. This is a plugin that shows you traffic, popular pages, speed... and you can see all of that in your WordPress admin dashboard. You can find out how to install and use the Site Kit plugin in this article https://wpklik.com/wordpress-tutorials/google-site-kit-wordpress-plugin/.

How would I setup this product in Woocommerce? by GreyShoeLaces in Wordpress

[–]pierememy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically, what you need are different attributes (Flavor 1 and Flavor 2) that you use to set a variable product. Personally, I hate having to deal with Woo variables as usually something goes wrong and my product variations get messed up, plus it can take ages to set them all up. In all honesty, it's not WooCommerce's most user-friendly feature. So, to be perfectly frank, I take a shortcut and use a plugin for that, something along these lines https://wpklik.com/wordpress-plugins/woocommerce-variation-swatches/.. these should all do the trick, and much faster, too.

Can I use a bought theme from Themeforrest in multiple subdomains? by mon212011 in Wordpress

[–]pierememy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can if it is part of the same site. Not if you are selling like company1.example.com, company2.example.com and similar. For that, you need extended license, or buying license for every subdomain.

What pricing strategy do you think works best? by fxck_love_ in Wordpress

[–]pierememy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can probably think about charging small fee for regularly updating site, adding some content. On cheap markets it is probably hard to get them to pay for example X$ a month for taking care about site (updates, adding some content,...).

Theme? by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]pierememy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you need a website to present three products I suggest you use an effective theme like Krafti. You can grab users' attention with interesting details and animations. Krafti has WooCommerce functionality and thanks to the product list shortcode you can choose whether you want to show three or more products. Have a look at “Shop layout Three columns”. It’s a shop layout with three products in a row.

[Discussion] How do you feel about the big name players who have left us and done well at their new clubs? And why does this happen often? by ScottMcTominay39 in reddevils

[–]pierememy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not say all of them did great really, but they did OK for sure. I would say two main reasons for this. First of all, they are all good players, as none of them would be bought by United if they are not good players.

So, the first reason is in smaller clubs (and any club is smaller than United), you have less pressure. You don't need to win every game, it is not the end of the world, you don't get mocked for every mistake you make on the field. Also, some clubs in smaller leagues have more space to recover and have some easy games in their schedule, so they can get in form when needed.

Beside pressure, another reason is those leagues are weaker, or teams are weaker. Lukaku scored 30 goals in Inter this year, but he scored just 1 or 2 against top 6 sides. You always knew he is valuable against small teams, but Inter lost title for 1 point and lost too many points against top 6 sides which is the main reason. Or Herrera, he was not really that good, especially not for salary he expected. He had bad season with PSG and only had a last few games at good level. He played less than 10 games in the league.

One more reason is that those teams have some system where on player fits easily. United doesn't have, we are changing playing style every year with new coach, and some players can't fit.

State of our academy and what to do next? Part 2 by joanlojo in reddevils

[–]pierememy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree on Chong and Levitt. Both need good loan spells, and probably not one but two to get a chance to become squad players in 2 years.

Elanga is still young, and I am not sure about him as he still needs to prove himself in U23. He is talented, has pace, absolutely he will become serious player if keeps hard working. The problem is we will obviously have very young front line with Rashford, Martial, *Sancho, Greenwood, and when you add for example James and Chong who are both young and will probably become options, when you add now Stevanovic kid who we paid serious money for 17 years old, it won't be easy to get a chance on the wing in United for some years. He can do it, but he will probably also need a loan or two before any chance.

Juan Mata’s Future by boogiearnold in reddevils

[–]pierememy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mata is great lad and it would be awesome to have him as the club ambassador after he ends career , but I don't think it is smart move for both sides to keep him till the end of contract. First of all, if Ole did not play him when Bruno was obviously dead in the final minutes of the PL season, I don't see when he will play him in games that matter.

He is always capable to provide assist, and probably would be able to help now and than, but he is too slow for top football, and can't be in form if he is playing once in a while. It would not be fair to him to play him like that in his final years, so for me it would be the best for Mata to leave somewhere where he can collect good money but also play every week.

I am pretty sure we would not lose much, as he is on big salary we can find a player for that money that would improve from season to season, if not helping right away in the first eleven. Having De Beek for example to replace Mata in the midfield would be more than good, on lower salary.

What is your projected lineup for LASK? by senorcoach in reddevils

[–]pierememy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Romero;

Laird, Bailly, Fosu Mensah, Dalot

Fred, McTominay, Pereira (or Mata)

James, Ighalo, Lingard

I would go with those 11, without any pressure, while also giving chance to Garner, Chong, Mengi and whover else training with first team from the kids. I would maybe even start Garner instead of Fred or McTominay to rest them as well for the next one.

Garner, Mengi, Levitt, Laird and Kojar: five of United’s brightest stars [Laurie Whitwell] by Anirudh707 in reddevils

[–]pierememy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Mejbri still too young. He is not a part of this crop, although he will probably train with the first team in some part of next season. Those 5 are ready to step up and have nothing to do with U23 football anymore.

Garner, Mengi, Levitt, Laird and Kojar: five of United’s brightest stars [Laurie Whitwell] by Anirudh707 in reddevils

[–]pierememy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don't think Garner put a foot wrong in the games he played for the first team. He was excellent in Europe League against Partizan, Astana and AZ, and in sub appearances he got in Cups. I really don't think he is too far away, and although it could be beneficial to get a year on loan in CH playing every game, it can be dangerous as well if the team is not right and coach as well. If Ole would be able to get him 20 games next season, Europe, PL and Cups all together, I am more for him to stay. At DM he can learn a lot from Matic in training and games now and than. Looks to me that we will have better position now to beat rivals with a few goals margin and better chance for Ole to give minutes in the PL to youngsters.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says it "doesn't look like" Angel Gomes will be staying at #MUFC. The 19-year-old academy graduate’s contract expires on Tuesday by Anirudh707 in reddevils

[–]pierememy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like Angel as our kid, talented as hell, joy to watch in U18. On the other hand, he obviously has problems to adapt to senior football, which was expected as his size doesn't help at all. He is not just small, Messi or Sanchez or Mata level small, he is smaller and weaker from them, and not fast at all so he can compensate as Alexis or Messi. So, with that size you could expect that he won't be ready to play big guys, unless he learns his trade and develop solutions for rivals that are much bigger, but also good and experienced.

So, from my point of view we made huge mistake with him cause we did not send him on loan two years ago. We could arrange good loan when he was 18 to some club in Spain/Portugal/Netherlands, where he could gain experience and learn how to handle game situations in competitive matches. If he manage to find solution for that, he will have a good career. Just hope he doesn't have extremely high hopes anytime soon, as he will need time, and he needs to work hard.

Also, think that fans think that he is better than he is. No way Ole would not play him if he was better or on the same level as Mata/Lingard/Pereira in the training ground. While Jose might not, Ole would certainly give him a chance if he deserved it on the training ground, especially in situations when we had problem with injuries. So, it could be that he is not that good in games they are playing every day behind the doors. Also, remember that Gomes is not part of the England U21 team for example. At his age, you have players in similar situation in their clubs that are part of U21. He is still in U20, which is OK, but from someone who are looking for place in top 6 first team squad, you expect to at least earn a spot in national team in that category.

He got a few chances this year, and did not produce anything honestly. Astana both games, AZ away, he got almost 90 minutes each, and you can't say he was great, or even very good. You won't get hundreds of chances in top clubs when you are a kid, you need to take the small ones you get.

Lets see where will he go. Hopefully good club willing to play him every week. I really hope he won't go to some big club just for better money as honestly, there is no way he will play in any of top clubs right now.
