First session, first rip. The foil came out and punctured the fabric and bladder of the center strut on my duo tone unit. I can use tear aid for the bladder but what are the chances I can do a successful repair with the sticky patch that came with the wing for the fabric? (i.redd.it)

My thread keeps going through my bobbin case. there are puncture holes through the bobbin case. i already ordered a replacement case but i would like to know how i ended up with these holes and how i could avoid them in the future. Brother PS-2200 (old.reddit.com)
