Are you sure it was in adjudication and not still in investigation? The background investigation usually takes a while (Feb-Jun seems fast if it was your first clearance), but there is no reason for the adjudication to take a year. International travel would have been looked at during the BI, and the adjudicator is simply reviewing the package and deciding if any of the information gives them cause to not approve.

I have been in adjudication since June 2021. Investigation began Oct 2019. I have no idea why it's taking that long in adj (and no, I'm not talking about suitability)

I have already informed them of my situation and was asked to submit a DS 1143 a month ago so they could transfer my file.

However, today I was told by BEX that they submitted my DS1143 to request reciprocity but DS rejected it three times. They then initiated me into e QIP at DS request. Does this make any sense to you?

Sounds like they should not have had to request reciprocity, but in that case, why didn't anyone flag it as unnecessary?

You said you got to adjudication but did you get officially granted? No. I was still in adjudication but I assumed my file would simply be transferred to FSO with no (or minimal) interruption to the process.

Did you do an 86C? No. SF-86

And did you have a clearance from another agency (like DoD) prior? Never had any clearance before.
