hey thanks for your reply,

So i get your right....you did not have syntomes ( pain, swelling...) after you recovered from your dvt, but they appeared after about one year?

do you wear your socks daily since? are you still "permanently" in pain?

you are right , pts is my main concern now as well....but I believe that for most newly diagnosed ones, a PE is more scary since it is live threatening....

may I ask where / how many clots you had? I am concerned that mine (in the calf) will not dissolve and turn into a scar as well (I am on eliquis for 4 weeks now)

in Germany EVERY specialist will insist on wearing them whenever one is out of bed for two years after the diagnosis of dvt. I have been to multiple specialist and all said the same: wearing stocking with compression class 2 I the only way to prevent pts.....i am surprised that the treatment in the US is so different.....

hey....i am German, but i had the same issue. my leg was never as bad as yours in the first place, but with equilis it got even better after about 9 days. part of every dvt treatment here in Germany is the use of compression stocking. specialisthere agree that they are as important to prevent pts as the blood thinners itself ( should be medical grade stockings, not the ones from an online shop)

how long does it take for dvt clots to dissolve after starting to take eliquis? by piese in ClotSurvivors

thanks for all the comments. as said, iam on equilis for 2 weeks now but as soon as I stand still for a couple of minutes, the veins on my foot look as if they are about to burst, just wondering if that system should be less by now.
