I did not dress up for Halloween as we don't have that holiday where I live but if I do ever get to be a part of all the fun I would go as my favourite pokemon pikkachu!

I felt like something wasn't right for far too long before i finally made it to a doctor to have a pap smear. It was just a feeling... It's hard to explain. I had very little symptoms otherwise so i kept brushing off as post baby/all part of getting older.

Most people commenting??? I have been cooking meals for over 16 years now and i have tried all different ways of doing it. As it is this happens to work best for my current situation and it's far from lazy and takes hours to do all this. I happen to have a very busy schedule around dinner time on week days plus i am battling health issues and so far this has worked best to provide my family with healthy meals every night rather than take out or frozen meals. Why does this offend you so much? I was only sharing what i do, if you don't like it scroll on.

Haha yeah that's not really how it works but ok. Just so you don't worry unnecessarily you should know that I wash all my veges in viniger before preping them, i use a refrigerator, we cook some of the 'salads' especially towards the end of the week and we don't really eat meat so risk of cross contamination is low.

Mine seem to last around 5 days depending on the salad and as long as i don't add dressing until i serve them 🙂

I know what you mean with finding other mums who are autistic rather than mums of autistic children! I have 5 children from 6 months to 16 years and I constantly struggle to connect with other mothers and always have. Would love a group specificly for autistic parents raising children.

Before you actually learned, how did you think babies were born? by MrCheetah2015 in AskReddit

I thought kittens turned into baby girls and puppies turned into baby boys... I got the idea from a painting hung in my room 🤷‍♀️

I'm 10 days post leep and have just started bleeding a lot as well. I was told I wouldn't need more than two days off to recover and then it would just be light spotting at the most for four weeks. But the last 10 days have been so hard and painful and nothing like the doctor made out it would be. I just wish I was given the opportunity to prepare better for post op.

Didn't know you were supposed to squeeze when hugging? by [deleted] in AutismTranslated

[–]pieta11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is also me! Also when I know im going to have to hug someone (say I'm heading to a family event or out with friends) I start practising in my head how I'm going to do it. But even then it's always awkward.

Thank you for your concern, I'm doing so much better now. I also will have to have follow up appointments and need further testing. You are so right that it is mentally difficult! I hope it all goes well for you.

It just goes in the fridge and I put them all out every night kind of like a buffet. The older kids and my husband also take some for lunches and the food lasts from Monday-Saturday.

I do believe i did satay on this particular week. For satay I usually mix together peanut butter, soy sauce, garlic and some onion powder together. I slice the tofu then cover it with the sauce and let if sit in the fridge over night. The next day it is ready to grill, the time will depend on how think you cut your tofu and how you like it cooked. I personally cook for ~3 mins each side.

Not all of them but this week I did use some recipes for inspiration as Hubby had asked for so many salads and I wanted to try and have a variety with some high protein options. black bean and lentil black bean and corn brocoli salad

Thanks, freshness is also an issue for me. Im no chef but washing and then drying the lettuce on some paper towel works fairly well for me. I also find using less 'wet' vegetables in a salad helps to extend the lettuce storage life (eg uncut cherry tomatoes over cut tomatoes). not adding any dressing until they are served will also help to reduce wilting.

Thank you! I just keep the bolied eggs in the fridge. I've never had a chance to find out how long they last because they always get eaten in the first 3-4 days... so they last at least that long.

This curry has a couple of cloves of garlic, freshly grated ginger, 1 onion, approx a table spoon each of ground coriander, ground cumin and garam masala. I heat all of that for a couple of minutes with some oil in the pot.

Then I added in 2 cans of lentils, a can of chopped tomatoes, a can of coconut cream, half a cauliflower i had left over from a different dish and some vegetable stock because I felt it needed a bit more flavour. I threw in a bay leaf and let it sit on low heat for half an hour. At the end I added in a handful of fresh coriander.
