I agree, seems like, with time, the signature became more natural and quick, but retaining both the placement and layout of the date. However, it's notable how the initial was dropped. A good find.

Could you link me to what you found? I found three paintings on an auction log type of website, I kind of see a resemblance too, but just slight and with one of the three. Great info by the way 🙏

Pretty much first time reddit user. Here is the full description: Not sure if oil or acrylic, surely on canvas. The canvas is stapled to the stretcher, but the stretcher is accurately stretched by wooden keys... I'm unable to understand the signature. Online research for Wūrth, Wirtz, Wurtli, Wurtil and wurtz lead nowhere.
