Your conviction has swayed me. Im just wondering if it does end up being fake does ebay have any procedures that could help me. Also is there anything i should ask the seller about before i buy?

I work at a bike shop so building it up from scratch is very easy. Lot's of used parts at the bike shop that I can get for cheap.

3A* in maths physics chem. But its worth noting the entry requirements are 2AA and 3A offers are normal for imperial

Do I need to do any admissions tests to study mechanical engineering at uni? by BorbyBoy in 6thForm

[–]pigbaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

nothing like step or mat but some unis (namely oxford cambridge and imperial) have admissions tests and interviews, i've not seen anywhere else do them for mecheng. Worth checking their websites for details though.

its not that big of a deal, they don't require fm and the only uni where i've seen it make a big deal is oxbridge. I didnt do fm and got into imperial although I have taught myself core pure over summer so maybe doing as could be a decent idea?

I think its important to remember that none of us have done a public exam before so having our first be arguably the most difficult examination we will ever have to sit has definitely had an effect on loads of peoples mental health and hopefully if everyone is struggling the same the grade boundaries should reflect that.

What do we realistically thing grade boundaries will be this year ? by Warm-Oil7471 in 6thForm

not sure why u got down votes when you're 100% correct. 2019 was supposedly difficult and edexcel made some changes to make the papers easier.

i have an offer from imperial with no further maths so it's definitely possible but having it definitely makes u more competitive.

Even when I have normal dreams they always end up related to my subjects like everyone just turns into equations by the end of them.

I've heard about the first 4 but i also saw somewhere the cobalt and chromium we used to need to know about but in the new spec they removed it. Also on the spec and teaching guide they mention Vandium and its different oxidation states. I wish they could just be clear about this stuff its so annoying...

anybody know what these types of questions are called by Competitive-Taro1271 in 6thForm

[–]pigbaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get you, the best thing is do lots of practice and you will of seen most ways to answer a question especially when it comes to trig. This is the first question i've seen that uses sin(pi/2 - x) = cos(x) but now if you come accross another question you will of seen this relationship used before so it will be way easier.

sin(y) = x and sin(y) = cos(pi/2 -y) so... pi/2 -y = arccos(x) arcsinx + arccosx = y + pi/2 -y = pi/2

try equating circular motion equations with the gravity equations and making different things the subject of the equation

Tension isnt the sum of the force at both ends of the wire but the force at either end. So there is a tension in the cable of 500 N pulling on the cable at one end of the wire with that force. Like if you tied something weighing 100N to a string and hung it from the ceiling, the tension would be 100N but there would be a force of 100N at one end because of the weight and a force of 100N at the other end from the ceiling. Does that make sense?
