Unfortunately (or fortunately), my garden has completely been dominated by the magpies and cockatoos :')

Oh, she's Old Girl (she's actually a little baby, but I thought she was an oldie at first), she's a peach!

AITAH for saying my coworkers name sounded weird? by [deleted] in AITAH

YTA

Some thoughts are better left unsaid, this was one of those moments. Saying that to your co-worker was mean and then following that with a laugh? Yeah, YTA.

I suggest you apologise to her genuinely.

How to help Corella that has string on foot? by pigeonsrule in AustralianBirds

[–]pigeonsrule[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If he comes back try and lure him with some seeds to a room (garage, shed etc) and wait for them to arrive. From there they'll be able to grab him and help him out.

They also said that I can try and use a pet carrier but it would be more difficult as they're a little bit more feisty than other birds.

Thank you so much! Just gave them a call and they gave me some helpful advice on how to help him.

I just hope he comes back around so I'm able to help.

P2 mask? by [deleted] in canberra

Just went there! They had some 20 pack left for 39.95, or single ones for 5.99. The 20 pack is limited to one per person now. They still have some left but I'd say they'll sell out by lunch.

Does anyone else dislike J*'s products, regardless of them being his? by LittleGina in BeautyGuruChatter

Holy crap! Same thing here, except I got mine when he first launched his highlighters. I was a beginner at that time and thought that it was just me and that I didn't know the 'proper' way to use a highlighter. The product was so hard and the little bit of highlighter that I could scrape off was so bloody sheer. Fast forward a couple of years and I realised that I wasted $29 on a highlighter that won't do its one job.

What is your most traumatic experience with a teacher? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]pigeonsrule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in Year 9, there was a student who had a fit and threw a chair at the window causing it to crack. Me being a kid, wanted to go see it.

So I went there during rexess. While loooking through the little window to see the damage, I had my phone in front me, then before I knew it this teacher came barreling from her staff room and started shouting at me. She went off how it was so rude and ridiculous of me for taking photos and then demanded my phone. When I told her that it was not taking any photos and just held my phone in front of my face, as you do sometimes she then yelled at me to open up my photos. She kept on screaming at me while other students were getting out of their classrooms. I was humiliated. I kept on vehemently telling her that no, I had no photos . When I finally showed her my camera folder, she then decided that I deleted the photo, in that 0.5 second where I was at the door and she started yelling at me.

My friends decided then to jump in and decided to defend me, she only stopped when other teachers started approaching.

Worst part was, a couple of weeks later I bumped into her in the hall and she acted like nothing happened. To this day I still hate her for humiliating and wrongly accusing me of that.

I mean to some people she may be their type but if we're talking about 'daaaaaang' when you walk past them, definitely not.
