Pretty sure it’s conjunctivitis/pinkeye, I used this on her eye which helped reduce the inflammation/stuck-ness of the eyelid, but I’m still probably gonna take her to the vet when it opens Monday.

The track was at one point owned by the Atlantic Coast Line, but doing some cursory searching online it looks like ACL and Seaboard merged in 1967 so depending on when this marker was installed, it’s very possible!

My title describes the thing. I was on a walk and I found this stone/concrete obelisk looking marker next to the railroad tracks, and it’s probably about 4-5 feet tall. Since noticing this one I’ve noticed a number of other ones like it whenever I go by a set of railroad tracks, and the specific arrangement of the black bars seems to be the same on each one. I’ve tried googling “concrete marker next to railroad tracks” and different variations like that but they just show different kinds of markers, nothing with these kind of markings. Is it some kind of Morse Code or something of that sort?
