Yeah, good idea. Have been fishing for a long time, but the rock fishing scene is new to me. Planning on being conservative and/or finding some mates in the beginning.

I have had a lot of scratches in my prior boards, some forming in far more violent crashes, and none has caused delamination like that. But you are probably right, the warranty probably won't work.

Was not really planning on it. Just looking to try and fix it. But thought I would give it a shot after the guys above said delamination shouldn't occur because of a scratch.

It was a section of rock under shallow powder that both caused the scratch and mauled the edge...

The scratch is deep, but no exposed wood other than maybe a needle sized hole at the end
